We are an independently owned drugstore and retail gift store.

How long have you been in business?
The original drugstore was established in the late 1800's we bought the business in 1984.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We want it to convey the feel of the destination store that we are.

We are a small rural town with a varied customer base.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
We would like for the logo to be upscale.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Maybe a two color with a dark turquoise or aqua and dark red.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? We are a friendly, customer service oriented store.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? We are the destination drugstore gift store for our area. One of those kind of place you hear about and then decide to take a ride to on a Saturday afternoon if you don't live in the area.

Where will your new logo be used?
Price tags, merchandise gift bags, stickers for giftwrap, printed on t-shirts, the sign outside.

We like the name arrangement. We are not crazy about the diamond shape behind the name. We are looking for something without a river, because several other local businesses have the river in their name and logo.

Paula, We like the first design, it sort of make us think of a surfing type design.
We like your second design best. We would like to see the same idea with a little more gifty, dressy, attitude. Maybe some sort of script?

We think your design would be great for our prescription bags but that is not what we are looking for right now.

Everyone,
We have a large giftshop in our store - 7,000 square feet.
We are looking for something more elegant yet bold enough to make a statement. The design should be fun and happy, a design that would be appropriate for a gift bag. All of these designs are great, but it seems they reflect more the pharmacy end than the gift side of our business.

We may be receptive to a design depicting a river if it is not the standard run of the mill curved line.

For lack of a better way to put it, i am looking for more of a "girly" female design.

In version 2 can you make the R on river transition into flowing water instead of the drop on the end. Also can you make the word Drugs bolder and stand out a little more. We like version 5 if the font could be a little heavier. Version 4 is a little thin and frail looking. It also made me think there was a letter P at the end of Red on first glance.

Paula,
Can we try the font from version 7 with version 8's bow and ribbon. We like the ribbon design a lot but that font looks like one we have used previously. Of course, we are looking for somthing different since we are doing this. When I mentioned flowing water for version 2 we were thinking waves splashing on shore, curling, foaming, white capping.

Is there anyway we might could and Gifts and maybe the word Cards?

Paula, could some sort of bow or package be added to version 9. I really like it , just wish it made you think of gifts a little more. Do you think the bow and ribbon could be a little different on version 10?
It make us think of Coca cola.

We like version 2 a lot, the package is great, but we are not sure about the backward small r's and the dots between the words... We hope to end up using this on an outdoor sign and don't know how that would work.

Paula,
We are trying to decide between versions 8,10,11, & 13. Do you think there is any way we could incorporate the words Gifts and Cards or maybe just Gifts? We like the font in 13, but several people that have looked at it have commented that the letters i and v in the word River look like a w. Also could be package and bow be a little more pronounced, maybe even with a different bow. Something that does not look so much like a flower. We really want to come across that we are not just a drug store. Thanks for your help!

In version 11, can we make the box farther to the left, give us another bow to look at and maybe add some ribbon to the box like it is a wrapped present. Take the top wave off the R. We would like to keep the word Drugs bigger. We are known as Red River Drugs. I wonder if the main statement could be Red River Drugs with Gifts * Cards under that?

On revision 1 can you reverse the colors of the ribbon on the bottom design using the darker teal.Try a more realistic bow. We are not absolutely set on the colors we have been using.....if you have other ideas. We just want a "knock you socks off" logo!" We do like the darker teal and red.

Ok,
We want to work on revision 4. We want to leave off the word & Gifts. Can you show us the word River spaced out a little to end just before the G in drugs.
Can you show us another example of the same logo with the word drugs just a little smaller.
Can we try the bow on revision 3 on the package in revision 4.
