I’m not looking for a Picasso, but something eye catching and easily readable that will be used on our website (not built yet), business cards (clear blue plastic background), embroidery, company trucks (black), & company invoices (so I‘ll need a black & white version too).

I would like to use a red cross (i.e. American Red Cross) somewhere in the logo.

The name of the company is The Pool Medic.

BTW, I’m more concerned about the timeline more than anything, sooner the better.

Good luck!!!

I just noticed this questionnaire.

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
The Pool Medic

What type of product or service do you offer?
Weekly maintenance and major repair to swimming pools

How long have you been in business?
This company, only few days.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
I hoping the company logo/name will quickly identify the company as being service minded not like Joe’s Pool Company who only builds not repair.

What are your long term goals?

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Within a few days or so. However, this contest could end as soon as tomorrow if the right logo shows up.

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
Pool owners with homes ranging from $100k to $1+ mil

Who would you like to add to your audience?

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
I would like to see some examples using a red cross as a symbol (like the American Red Cross). You people are the experts, so I'll leave it up to you.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
All of are company trucks are black (huge mistake with Texas temps.) and our current business cards are made out of clear blue plastic. Keep this in mind as they will be the background colors. Also, I need the logo to be black & white for use in newspaper ads and our invoices.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Red Cross
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
That we fix broken pools

What is your tagline or slogan?
Sorry, we don’t have one. Maybe someone can suggest?

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?.
That we fix pools

Where will your new logo be used? Website (not built yet), company trucks, business cards, newspaper ads, postcards, invoices, shirts, caps

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

List competitive URLs if possible
http://www.cypresscreekpools.com/
http://www.b2pools.com/
Here‘s a couple, but their main business is construction. Most of the service/maintenance companies do not have websites.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
We’re Reliable and Affordable

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company
Reliable

thanks guys!!! :)

Fabian- can you try your design again using the NAME and TAG LINE forming a circle around the cross. Keep the Name in a larger font than the tag. Also, I like the idea of the waves in the cross and the blue lettering, but I’m just not sure how they would look on black trucks and blue plastic business cards, maybe you can play with it using some different colors. Thanks

Gig- thanks for your submission, but the first thing I thought of the cross was Playstation. Thanks

Hey Gig-- I like your 3rd Idea, same thing though with the colors and our black company truck and blue business cards not contrasting together. Can you play with the colors? thanks

Hi, this is my revision. It works for black truck & blue business card ... ofcourse it needs adjustment if applicated on its color, something reverse of color I mean.. in this case are blue & white :) . an example is Microsoft blue logo will reverse to white when it's on that blue color...

Gig- I like #9, can you try a few different fonts and change the all CAPS to lowercase. Just use your best judgment and show me what you got. Thanks!!!!
