Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
CREATIVE DENTAL CARE, P.A. (larger)
Cosmetic & General Dentistry (smaller)
What type of product or service do you offer?
Cosmetic & General Dentistry
How long have you been in business?
New Business
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Attract patients from an upscale area.
What are your long term goals?
To create an identity that is individual and recognizable.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
March 21
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
None yet.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Patients desiring quality cosmetic and general dentistry.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Definitely no individual teeth or goofy cartoons. Maybe a smile, but its not essential. Think upscale. Not too dental. Maybe it can look like something you would see outside a coffee house. Be creative.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
No.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
No.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
This is not the typical dental office.
What is your tagline or slogan?
None.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
This is a small dental office in an upscale town. Unlike most offices, this will not have the typical waiting room. Upon entering, it will look more like a cafe or coffee shop. There will only be 2 treatment rooms so the patients will get the care they deserve in a relaxing environment. This is not a dental spa, more like a boutique dental office. Both cosmetic and general dentistry will be performed. We do not want the logo to focus too heavily on cosmetics because it may deter patient seeking general dentistry.
Where will your new logo be used?
On a sign, letterhead. advertisements, business cards, on the wall, etc.
THANKS!

An artistic & creative look on dental care.

Its a start if I decide to have a smile in the logo. I would prefer it is a smile that shows teeth in the "golden proportion." I think the name "Creative Dental Care, P.A." may look better in an arch across the top of the logo with "Cosmetic & General Dentistry" below.
Thanks,

One more thought. I was looking at another thread for "Tanya Crosbie Photography." The first submission shows a sketch. Something in that style may look nice. Maybe a smile or something else.

Thank you for the feedback. I assume this is what is meant by a golden proportion.

Actually, the golden proportion refers to proportions the we find to be aesthetically pleasing. We use this is cosmetic dentistry to acheive predictable results. Check out this link or just google "golden proportion" http://www.goldenmeangauge.co.uk/golden.htm. Its interesting. I referred to it beacuse I have seen dental ads that had smiles that did not fit those proportions and I always seemed funny that someone advertising cosmetics didn't have the correct porportions on the smile in their ad.
Is is possible to sketch the smile in a style similar to the first posting for "Tanya Crosbie Photography?" I think it is a cool look. Thanks for your effort!!!

I was surprised more designs have not been presented, maybe they will be when the deadline is closer. Here's a thought... The Greek letter Phi represents the golden number. Maybe it can be incorportated into a design using its shape for the logo, or somewhere in the logo. I just wanted to give something more to go on. The typical dental logos are so boring. Have fun with this! Thanks.

A couple from me.
The first includes a "phi" icon composed of 'CD' for Creative Dental.

J Johnson...
I love the "Phi" icon in version 1. That was brilliant! I do feel the look of that version is a bit too "corporate." I like the font used for the word "Creative" in version 2. Do you think you can make version 1 look a little more fun by incorporating that look? Even if the phi takes on a more sketched look to match the font? Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks so much for the compliment. Here are a couple of variations.

Version 3 appears more balanced, but version 4 has that cool font that I like. Can the text below "Creative" in version 4 be streched out? Also, the squiggly line on top of version 2 is a nice touch, can that be incorporated in to version 4? Last, can the phi be skewed or tipped a bit to look similar to the font that "Creative" is written in? I like that sketched look. Thanks again!

Medigraph,
That is very cute! Do you have a font that is in the same style, but slightly easier to read for "Creative Dental Care, P.A."???
Thanks.

Medigraph,
One more thing, can you make the phi into a C and D rather than a phi? It almost looks like that already.
Thanks.

Thanks for all of the great logos. We decided to go with Medigraph, Version 4.3.
Medigraph,
Can you try some other fonts for "Creative Dental Care, P.A." Also, there should be a period after the "P" in P.A. I want a font that is easily recognizable if it is put on a sign so cars passing will be able to read it. I like the colors, are there any other color combinations that I should consider before I make a final decision. Thanks!

Thank you for choosing my design. Here are several options for fonts and colors.
This first set provides some alternatives for handwritten style fonts:

I thought you might also like to go with basic fonts, so here are a set of serif and sans-serif fonts.

And some color alternatives. I personally like the original yellow, as it is lively, fun and conveys a message of joy. Blue may also be an option as it creates relaxation and tranquillity, but in your case I feel it is too hospital-ish :)

Medigraph,
Can you use the font in the logo that you used in the center of version 4.6. (Same font you used in version 4.7). Make "Cosmetic & General Dentistry" black. Can you try some other background color like mocha, less orange.
Thanks.

Some mocha-like options in addition to revisions.

Looks good, but the mocha is a bit washed out. Can you try "Pantone 724PC?" And maybe a bright blue. I'm sure one of these will be the final color. What format do you recommend to send me the final logo so I can use it for printing and future design (letterhead, sign, etc.) Thanks!
Blesseville

Thanks for the feedback. I prepared two sets: One for mocha and the other for bright blue. I will send you the logo in various formats, including vector (EPS) and rasterized images (PNG, JPG -high and low resolution). You can especially use EPS in anywhere you want, as it won't lose any quality when it's scaled to bigger sizes.

We like the middle one on version 4.9. Can you change the border around the color to 1675PC? We think it may frame it nicely. Almost done.
Thanks.
