[Project Complete] - Refugee Book Cover Design - $100

(Admin code added by Palmer - SA789R4323419)

First time author so please forgive me if my terminology or other parameters are "off". Thanks for the help, looking forward to impacting many people with this book.

Vision:

The overall vision of this book is to help Christians embrace their calling as refugees in this land the moment they accept Jesus. It seems that as the years go on, we as Christians may miss the point of our new role and stop short at salvation. My hope is that this book re-ignites the passion a Christian has in the early days of a conversion to Christ, to get "unstuck" thus realigning focus as ambassadors of heaven. We need to bring a new perspective!

I envision this book being roughly 12 chapters, or approx 180 chapters. Clear, actionable read with solid weaving of scriptures to help emphasize key points.

I also envision this book "feeling" very clean and crisp as it is written. The cover is to be a matte finish with a beautiful black background, clean fonts, and crisp coloring. I want it to "feel" good in people's hands.

Overall Book Size:

* 8.4" Tall, x 5.5" wide (approx
* Spine: 3/4" - 1"...haven't fully decided on pg count yet
* Inside cover flap: 3.5"

* Book info
* Back cover flap: 3.5"

* Author information & photo
* 1/4" bleed (or whatever industry standard bleed applies)

Color Scheme:

* Front & Back cover color: Black

Front Cover:
Cover/Title:

Refugee (I would like to see the word Refuge as a part of Refugee standout. I'm thinking color scheme of a light gray or what for "Refuge" then red for the final "e"

Sub-title: "Embracing the journey as strangers & foreigners in this land
Color: Light gray or white (same as Refuge)

Zoran Ploscar (flexible but red like the E)

Spine: Same flow as front cover

Back-cover:

Same color flow as front cover but I'm open to different ideas of the back cover vs creating more redundant information that is already be within the flaps.

Font:

I like a very clean and font. Again, hard to say but I'll know it when I'll see it. If there are any simple and clean fonts on trend now, let's use that.

Design Formatting:

* Need final formatting to be in .pdf, .ai, .eps, .psd
* Created in current mainstream technology such as Adobe Illustrator so that we may be able to allow publisher's design team to finish

I like where this is heading. It will help clarify vision in the sense "I know it when I see it" being it's been so abstract so far.

Looking forward to a few other ideas.

Can you guys come up with a combination of NHRs first design and LutFi's first design?

I like the "look" of NHRs, font, cover coloring. You can almost "feel" the matte finish. Remove cross though.

Then combine with LutFi's black/white photo of the refugee's except figure out a way to make the "light at the end of the tunnel" a bit more subtle. It reminds me of the 3-wise men looking at the star.

Hello. This is not a collaboration of all the designers it's an individual "contest" to allow 1 designer to complete the project based on their mockup. So 1 designer cannot use another designer's ideas. That's one of the rules that they follow. Thank you for understanding.

All - since we are running about 5 days now from this contest ending, I'm interested in seeing any Ad-hoc design ideas. Your own ideas, coloring, etc to bring to life this book. Thank you!
