Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
New project, they don't exist yet. They will eventually be photographers, many who are starting a new business who are looking for branding materials, or experienced photographers who want new marketing materials, photoshop templates, ect. My secondary audience are designers who would like to contribute work to be offered up for sale. Most of the designers are likely to be photographers who do their own graphic design.
Who would you like to add to your audience?
Photographers who create their own pieces and would like to sell them to other photographers, designers who would like to market to photographers, and photographers who would like to purchase designs.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Seems the photography industry is really interested in grunge patterns/backgrounds right now, so I'm open to that direction. It's the direction I'm currently going, however I'm pretty open minded to taking the site a whole other direction if I find a logo that sings to me. I think I'd like the logo to be more horizontal or landscape in orientation to work well with web design.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Right now, I'm leaning towards this color scheme:

Which is: 850504, ASA2277, FPF8E4
I think I want the logo itself to be the red color.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Not necessarily. Here is where I am at when starting this project:

To get this I was inspired by:
However, I'm not married to this design and am free to go ANY direction.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
Creative, attention to detail, slick-looking
What is your tagline or slogan?
Divine Design for Photographers
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
Appearances are important. We've got the goods here.
Where will your new logo be used?
Primarily at the website:
http://designdeity.com Also in banner advertising on photography forums, a version will also be used on Twitter, Facebook and other social networks. Almost exclusively online.
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
Some are good, some not so good. Because it's a website-driven business, it kind of depends on how well they incorporate it into their site.
List competitive URLs if possible
