[Project Complete] - Logo for electrical ecommerce website - $125

(Admin code added by Palmer - 31A70321WR392033L)

This is my first design project, so apologies if I mess anything up.

Design Outpost Creative Brief Worksheet

Project Summary:

I am looking for a logo for our new business. The url is accessory-express.co.uk

Ideally, I would like the logo to be the URL (i.e accessory-express.co.uk and not Accessory Express).

We will be selling a uge selection of electrical accessories from hdmi leads to vaccuum cleaner bags, along with batteries, games console accessories.

This is to be an expansion of our current business which has been going for 7 years, but that has been running from a seperate URL.

I am hoping to create something that looks professional and reassuring.

Ideally I would like the logo by the 25th March, but will be willing to extend this until the end of the month if people need more time.

Audience Profile:
At a guess othe majority of our audience would be males aged 20 - 50.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
I don't have any speciifc colours in mind or any images. Im open for anything.

Communication Strategy:
As mentioned, professionalism and rellibity

The new logo will be used on our website and letter headings.

Competitive Positioning:
Maplin (.co.uk) will be a main competitor.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: friendly

Thank you all in advance to anyone who enters

To give you all a bit of guidance, I've found a few logos I like.

Peacocks - http://www.peacocks.co.uk/ It's clean and simple
Thatcable.com - http://www.thatcable.com/ - again simple, and eyecatching
Memorybits - http://www.memorybits.co.uk/ (ignore the background and stars and tagline) - Nice colours, nice and clear, includes .co.uk

Hopefully this will give you an idea for what I am after.

Many Thanks,
Craig.

Hi nhr,

Many thanks for the concept.

I like the idea in keeping it simple, but I don't really like the arrow.

Do you have any different graphics, or any that could be incorporated into the text?

Thanks for resubmitting nhr. That was more what I was looking for to be honest. I like the grey/orange scheme.

I'm not sold on the piece coming out of the 'y' though. Would it be possible to see it coming off the bottom right of the x in express and for it to shoot off to the right, ending somewhere near the uk, and perhaps slightly higher up so it is nearer the text?

Hello Everyone,

Is there any other information or ideas I can provide to see some more concepts from you all. I'm really eager to get this logo in place, and available to provide feedback to ervyone asap.

Many thanks,
Craig.

Hi guys,

guetizo - I like the colours of the writing, but I don't like the yellows bits around the outside.

nhr - I'm sorry, but I didn't quite like the revision as much as I thought I would. I love the colours and love the genral concept, but it seems to be missing 'something', and I can't put my finger on what. I would say yours is 90% there and just needs something to finish it off and I really don't know what!

Glyphica - Again, love the colours, but not to sure on the icon. Have you anything you could integrate into the text more or a differnet icon?

Hi nhr,

Many thanks for redesigning. I much prefer the tail of the x shooting past the uk as you have done it there.

I am quite happy with the way the logo works, the only thing i would possibly like is for the tail to come down by a couple of millimeters so there is more of a gap between it and the letters.

Thanks

Hi all,

im3d - Many thanks for your entry. However, it is not what we are lookign for.

I have been experimenting with nhr's latest design and it fits very well with the type of website I am looking to create, so I would like to accept nhr's design (Version 2.3) as the project winner.
