[Project Complete] - Indigo Mouse - IT Support Company - $125

(Admin code added by Palmer - 2MP48745T9566680K)

Company Name:

INDIGO MOUSE
IT Services

Project Summary:

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
I am logo for an iconic/symbolic logo, rather than a logo based on the company name. Think NBC, Pepsi, Nike, Shell, Apple, McDonalds, etc.

What type of product or service do you offer?
IT support to home users & Micro Businesses

How long have you been in business?
Start up

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
A fresh look & feel that looks different from the competition to match the different approach.

What are your long term goals?
To have the recognized by the logo, rather than the name.
This would help in advertising, etc.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Sooner the better really.. lets say about a week?

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
na
Who would you like to add to your audience?
na

Perception/Tone/Guidenlines:
What type of logo would you like?
A symbolic/Iconic Logo of a mouse - I like the idea of a rodent mouse, but am open to a computer mouse design.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Indigo because of the name, and I guess Green or Orange that compliments the Indigo

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Only what is mentioned above.

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

What is your tagline or slogan?
none

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
I want something that would appeal to everyone, but not to corporate as I am not targeting big businesses.

Where will your new logo be used?
Flyers, adverts, Website, etc.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
I cant really thing of any.... only Geeksquad which is a nationwide thing http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/
All the independent people dont have a logo, just a business name a fancy font & all look kind of boring.

List competitive URLs if possible
http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/
http://www.nsapccare.co.uk/index.html
http://www.bransby-it.co.uk/
http://www.techforcerepairs.com/
http://jparkinscomputing.com

What sets you apart from your competitors?
I hope its going be my fresh approach & uniformed approach.
I am not a shirt & tie guy, I'm a more laid back leisurely person & it reflects in my work attitude.

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
McDonaldization

Hi, I like that a lot, but its a little to sharp & clean for my liking. I was kind of hoping to get something a bit more punchy and bold.

What does punchy and bold mean to you? Do you know of any samples of other logos with that feel?

Even just a mouse head or somthing..

more inspiration maybe

or this rat

I like Cre8tor 1st effort, but Im really liking Bills latest effort.
Was wondering Bill if it would be to much trouble to see a side on attempt to compare?

Wow, this so hard!
Real great ideas & Logos

I am still liking cre8tor 1st effort.
The later one looks more like a rat sorry - no offence.

Also I really like Bill's effort, maybe if possible a little tweaking in the font & if possible maybe some tweaking of the ears?
similar to

maybe using the 2nd colour as the inner ear and maybe a zig zag kind of thing nr the base to show where the fur ends?
Also, can the mouth be turned upside down so he looks a bit happier.

@bluecherry,

I like your efforts as well, but find the circle draws my attention away from the mouse.

I think bill has captured the image I want to portray, but cre8tor 1st effort of looking clean & sharp still has a constant draw (pun not intended) from me.
At the moment though, I need a logo that is fun looking & not so forgettable.

one last thing, I messed up - it supposed to say computer services & not IT services /facepalm

I have decided (well not me, everyone I asked to choose) on going with Creat8ors effort version 01.

Sorry Bill, I really prefer your logo, but I have to listen to people I ask as they are my potential customers
In an ideal world I would have a use for both, but im limited on funds on getting this off the ground.

What happens now? I need some slight adjustments from cre8tors effort.

Hi,
http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/...1&d=1280199157

the 2nd one - I just need it in the colours indigo, but there are a few 'indigo' colours.
Can I see them in

Electro Indigo
Hex triplet #6F00FF
RGBB (r, g, b) (111, 0, 255)
HSV (h, s, v) (266°, 100%, 100[7]%)

&
Deep Indigo
Hex triplet #8A2BE2
RGBB (r, g, b) (138, 43, 226)
HSV (h, s, v) (271°, 81%, 89%)

& finally
Pigment Indigo
Hex triplet #4B0082
RGBB (r, g, b) (75, 0, 130)
HSV (h, s, v) (275°, 100%, 50%)

and also, can IT Services be changed to computer services.

Thanks.

No Problems!
I'll make those changes, and post revisions tonight, for your approval.

I will also find the closest PMS match to each of those Indigos - this will come in handy for spot colour printing (business cards, letterhead, etc.)

There is a slight difference between the RGB(web) and Pantone(print) colours.

Pigment Indigo
This one is much closer between the RGB(web) and Pantone(print) colours.

This would be a good choice of colour, as there would be consistency across web and print materials.

This revision doesn't have a "name", but since "indigo" is typically a deep purplish-blue, I chose Pantone (PMS) 275, then worked backward to achieve the RGB combinations.

Since these colours are very close as well, they would be a good choice for colour, as there would be consistency across web and print materials.

Please let me know if one of these sets of colours are appealing to you, or if you'd like to see other shades.
Thankyou kindly,
Kimber
