Due Sep 20th - [Urgent!] Site header for lunch service website - $120
Admin code added by Abby - 1K758086FL227350V
We need a web site header for our lunch delivery website.
It's a B2B website offering a lunch delivery service to companies. We are based in Belgium, and in our country "lunch" usually comes in the form of sub sandwiches or salads. This element should be visible in the header, unless you haver a better idea.
The site layout hasn't been done yet, but it should use the color scheme used in this page: http://www.lunch.be/welcome.aspx
There will be a menu at the top with the choices "Home", "Orders", "Favorites", "Payments", "Help" and maybe one or two other items.
The logo is attached to this post.
Thanks!
Philippe

Hi Activa,
Could you tell us what the prize amount is please?
And also, did you want a test menu intergrated aswell, or is that a separate element?
Kind regards,
Asparagus Productions

The amount is $120 (I added it later to the title of my post, but it doesn't seem to appear in the thread title).
I only need a layered PSD file (no HTML/CSS coding). The width of the PSD should be at least 1600 pixels. The final size will be 900 pixels wide, but I will scale it down myself.
A menu is not required, but if you feel the urge... go ahead
Thanks,
Philippe

Was this the sort of thing you had in mind?
If not, just let me know and I'll do my best.
Here's my attempt (1600px wide):
And here's an example of what it may look like on your site:
* remember these examples are lo-res test versions.

Asparagus: not bad at all to start with. I'm not that crazy about the white outline on the logo though.
A little more of the reddish colors we use on the site would be nice too.
Thanks,
Philippe

Aspargus: I don't like what you did in the second version. It just doesn't look right. Your first one looks a lot better.
Maybe remove the white outline on the logo or make the outline a lot thinner.
Leave the green lettice background for now (my wife likes it )
imot: Your entry looks very promising. A few remarks:
- What are the yellow lines on the bottom of the header? They look like compression artifacts. They certainly look like they don't belong there.
- The menu is nice, but needs some polish
- The transition between the left background and the sandwich doesn't look quite right (not "natural")
Thanks!

Aspargus: Not what I had in mind. Can you take your first design and simply remove the white outline for the logo?
(you also changed the relative dimensions of the logo in your last design, which is not good)

Ami: It would be better if the logo stood out more (red on red is not that nice).
Although the picture of the pizza on the red/white table cloth is very nice (especially the colors), pizza is not something that's associated with lunch in our country.

bogglins: I personally think your design is the best I've seen so far. There's not a lot that I want to see changed (maybe a subtle shadow on the logo, but I'm not sure about that).
Unless some radical new designs are presented, we might go for yours. Before a decision can be made, I will have to talk to my business partner though.
Any new designs coming from other designers??

krishm: Maybe it's just me, but the sandwich doesn't look very tasty . Also, please don't change the colors of the logo. The circle should be filled with a dark yellow color.

Here is another attempt...
Buttons are in middle so its perfect in all resoluation -
if we do the buttons in left or right do u think the problem will
come to scroll the page if the buttons more left or right side
here i have tried this way in middle...

After talking to my business partner, we have decided to pick bogglins' design and don't wait until wednesday for our decision.
The other designs were also appealing, but bogglins' entry had a certain freshness which we didn't find in the other designs.
Thanks all for your efforts!
