Wink Due Nov 4th - Stationary Design - $325.00

(Admin code added by Palmer - 5MH68202KN748025V)

Hi Guys,

I had my logo designed here a few months ago. (Thanks Senter/Bart ) Now I'm back to get my stationary designed.

I run a hardwood floor restoration company. We work in a lot of high-end homes.

I would like the design to be clean and high quality and match with our new logo.

I need a double sided business card, letterhead, envelope and a double sided postcard.

In the info.doc file I have written the information I need for the business card and the letterhead and envelope. I've also included a pic of a quick layout I did of the back of the business card so you can see how I need it to read. The book.jpg is also for the back of the card.

The postcard is actually a cleaning guide that I leave with our clients. The cleaning_guide.doc has all the information you will need. The size is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.

I've included a picture of a floor if you want to use it. You don't have to but it's there in case.

I look forward to seeing all of your designs. I'm in no rush but 2 weeks - Nov 4th would be good to have it finished by.

Cheers!

Hi Guys,

Sorry I've been slow to respond. I've been away for a week but I'm now back and ready to go. I'll extend the deadline a week or two for everyone.

I'm looking forward to your designs cazeyman. Is there anyone else interested in working on my project?

I've attatched a picture to this post that shows an idea I like. I like how the bottom of this website looks with the wood fading into the background. This is not a definite must have, either is using the wood floor picture, just an idea to work with if you like.

Note: I've also included a layout of one of my invoices. I'm not going to change the layout so please keep the letterhead within these boundaries.

Victor: Thanks for being the first to give it a try I like what you did for the back layout of the business card. I would like our logo to be a little bigger on the front. Overall the design on everything is a little too top heavy for my liking, especially the letterhead. I'm looking forward to your revision. Thanks again.

stationary

Hello, sorry about the delay, I also have one question about the envelope, is the envelope going to be printed full bleed (edge to edge) or will ther be a white boarder margin (usually cheaper. Let me know and I can compensate the design either way.
I'll post the postcard soon.
-Thanks

Do you have an .eps or .ai file of the logo (vector format)?
Thanks,
David

David: I updated the logo format in my first post. I meant to put that format up originally. Cheers.

zman: Thanks for your designs. I really appreciate your efforts. Yes the envelope will be full bleed.

Overall the design is a little busy for me. I don't think the watermark needs to be there. On the letterhead I'd rather have the web address at the bottom and I don't need it on the front of the business card as it's the focus of the back of the card. The letterhead also looks a little 'dirty' for lack of a better word. I know you picked that style up from the website picture I posted but I really only liked the very bottom part. Thanks for gin=ving it a go though.

With the postcard some of my customers are a little older so I would like the writing to be darker/black on a lighter background so it's easy for everyone to read.

Thanks again zman

Everyone: I'm looking forward to seeing everyones designs. Maybe even some without the wood background for a more clean look.

Cheers.

Changes from me... Made the logo a little bigger on the business card and added a slight gradient to the bottom... Let me know what you think... I'm also working on another design for you and will post it soon.

Thanks,
Vic

Wow thanks guys for all the new designs!

zman: I'd like to work a little bit more on your design in post #5 as it has a lot of potential.

First the letterhead - At the top take out the web address. Take out the watermark and the darker areas around the sides. On the bottom put a brown bar like you have at the top and put the web address in here. Keep the address and phone numbers where they are but just move them up a bit. Could you do one with the faded wood at the bottom and one without. Let's see how that looks.

Business card front - Again remove the web address at the top. I'd like to have the logo bigger. My name and the other information can be much smaller. I'd like the front to be very clean looking so whatever you can come up with here.

Business card back - Could you make the book a little smaller like Vic has it. Take out the brown bar at the top and put it down the bottom with the download instructions. Then keep the rest of it white and make the copy easier to read again like Vic's - not bold and an easier to read font.

Postcard - Again, I like the potential here, the copy just needs to be a bit lighter and easier to read

The designs in #13 and #14 don't really do anything for me sorry, but thanks for the effort

Vic: I really like a couple of elements in your designs in #11 and #12.

In #12 I really like the back of the card! Just a few little things I'd like you to adjust. Could take out the three dots after 'FREE Guide'. I'd like a bit more space between 'Inside you'll discover...' and the next line and could you make the web address bigger, stretch it out to be in line with the 'a' and 'how'. Otherwise let's keep that for the back of the card for your design.

The letterhead and front of the card in #12 is too heavy for my taste. I'd like to play with what you have in #11 though. I like the letterhead but lets put the info at the bottom and keep the rest of top the same. For the very bottom I'd like to see some ideas. Maybe one with what you have at the bottom of #12 so it matches the business card. I don't need the 'Free guide at...' there.

For the front of the card I'd like to see one with the bottom like how you have it on #12 under the white box with the web address but maybe just a little taller. I'd also like to see one with the logo on the opposite side and maybe with the faded wood at the bottom. Please make the text a little smaller and keep it justified to the left. I'm open to any other ideas for the front but I'd like to keep clean looking.

For the envelope I'd like to incorporate these elements into what you have in #11 as well. I'd like to see the text somewhere under the logo instead of besides it though.

Thanks everyone I'll be back tommorrow night to check in - Cheers!

Hi Vic - I'd like to declare you as the winner

Thanks for the postcard design. Just a few more little adjustments and then we're good to go.

Postcard: Remove the logo from the back side (keep the wood) and make the 'How to Clean Your Hardwood Floors' headline straight across on the same line. On the bottom of both sides make the red and brown boxes thinner (3/4 the size) and take out the writing on the front side.

On the cleaning side in the first paragraph could you start a new paragraph with the sentance starting with "Don't". Make 'Spot Cleaning' and 'General Cleaning' red. Make 'Your newly finished floors should never be waxed!' brown. Move the text body up now that we have more space without the logo and have more spacing around the company name and contact details.

Letterhead and envelope: On the envelope could you make the red box a little smaller like in my post and for the letterhead could we try the logo out a little smaller as well.

On all of the stationary and postcards could we have the Tel, Fax and Email bolded and in the beige color of my logo like how I have it in my post above.

I'd like to thank everyone for their efforts in my contest, it's been very much appreciated. I'll no doubt be back for more down the road!

Hi Vic. They look great!

One more quick round and we're good to go. Could you make the words in the heading on the back of the postcard the same size. On the letterhead could you put an extra space between 'Street' and 'Vancouver' and take out a space between the TEL, FAX and EMAIL. Then please make all of the address and contact info a smaller font. I like the way you had the TEL, FAX and EMAIL indstead of bold, sorry but could you please change it back but keep it the same color as we have now. Other than that we're done!

Please send me files in .psd format as well if you have them as I'll be changing my address next year and I'll have to adjust them.

Thanks Vic - you're awesome
