My business name is ARTwists. I need to have a logo for my business cards and to print on flyers, etc.

Logo must make it obvious that it is ART and Twists put together - I have had people pronounce it ART wists - whatever that is.

I have Micro Soft products and need to be able to manipulate the size of the logo for my flyers and posters.

As far as colors go - you have license - just have them be bright and many of them. I am not sure how this goes for the $50.00, but I may have to settle with black and white for now - for my cards.

Ideas:
1) I have attached a simple WordArt that I have used - I am looking to have the Twists part of the company name stand out - maybe two colors twisted together like a twisted candy cane - with the ART part bolder. I like the effect of the WordArt example that seperates the two words by having the shared "T" as the highest or tallest point.

2) What I really want is to have the word ART spelled out with artistic tools. I slopped together an example of the "A" and attached it in the file. If the ART part was spelled out with a paintbrush and an exacto knife "A", a Pallate for the "R" and a blow torch for the top of the "T", perhaps the twisted colors would be enough for the rest of the "wists".

I will be checking each day till the 19th of August and giving more input.

Looking forward -

Emm'et

It seems you have the specifics I asked for - my description worked!

I need something that a customer can recognize as my company name. This one took me a minute to figure out - and I know the name.

Thank you for starting the ball rolling!

Great with the shared "T" but you are right - not what I am looking for . .

The logo will have to be in black and white much of the time & I need to have the effects be visible without color - just shading.

Thank you

This is black and white since that's what you said you would use the most..color can be added...

This is different than I had imagined - but it may be something that works. I have the first three letters in caps. What versions do you see with that?

E

And maybe the ~ line could somehow "twist"??

Maybe the shaded letters could be the whole word "Twists" - I do not get the t and w only shaded - or the ART part - how would they look?

OK - we might have something to work with here - thank you for getting back with me - take these next suggestions and give me a couple choices:

The font should change - I like a "bubble" type of letter - not exageratted - like the rounded corners maybe. OR an Italic Times New Roman? Something more "artistic" - - -

Maybe the shaded letters could be the whole word "Twists" or the ART part - I do not get the t and w only shaded?

And maybe the ~ line could somehow "twist"??

Thank you!

Wow! These last two are both great.

Now - Taldo you are doing great with the suggestions and coming really close - I like it.
The twist in the background is great.

In a perfect world:

I am looking for what you (Taldo) have with a font that is more italicized - with the "Twists" in the style that Raja has on the top of the "T".

I want the "ART" in caps.

I want the "Twists" to be in the twisted line on Raja's. The font style is fine if it is italicized but the more rounded edges would be great.

Please both do what you can and I'll be checking in all day.

Maybe with this design - great by the way - it could work with the "ART" being in capitals - the twisted line being the top of a capital "T" -

I do like the way the lower case "t" hooks into the rest of the word but I think the ART part gets lost here.

Good work - let me know what you think.

Maybe the "T" could be twisted with the two other colors?

You may extend your deadline. Just post something along the lines of you'd
still like to see more ideas or revisions and so you are extending the
deadline til such and such a date.

:o Just realized why I may not be getting any more replies - the deadline is past. I am extending the deadline so as to be able to choose from the latest revisions - we are really close and I am excited about the recent ideas. I will start with extending till the end of the day Tuesday to get who is still in the game.

Please let me know if you are still in the prossess with me -

Thank you! I have been away from the internet for a couple days but I am back in communication.

Specific Questions:

Taldo, can we change the font? I like the new idea (not the color - I am sure that can change - or be done in B/W) about the outlined "T" - but I just can't get into the font - is that changeable?
***I love the twist in the background*** I like the look of the font used by J-Design on Aug 13th - something in that area.

Raja, I like the colors of the twist - could we alter those in a way that the two words are in the different colors of the twist? Also - it HAS to be caps on the "ART" part (maybe the "t" changed to a capitol "T" with the twist as the top???) . Possible? ***"What we do here" is "Breakthrough Art Programs"***

hi again [/b][/quote]
WOW!!!!

I love the way that the "T" shadow makes it OBVIOUS that it is "Twists".

Now about the ART part - I want to make the letters the same size - but I am guessing that it may be too big that way. Let's just see - what will it take to make the "ART" as obvious as the "Twists". Great job!

Also, about the twisted colors - this may not even be necessary with your new design - so put them anywhere they look good or not at all - I am interested in your colors - they are great - maybe under the "wists" part? I do need to have this in black and white also -

And the way you laid out your first submission with the multiple intensities was great.

Looking forward to this!

***** also - let's change the "what we do here" to "Creation is for everyone" in the phrase!!

This is CUTE! I love the font.

What if the paintbrush were turned 90 degrees - it looks like an "a" - or if the trail followed the end of the brush side instead of the stem side - then we could add some color for the next phase of my marketing - I will end up needing letterhead and such with some color after this design for my cards.

***** also - let's change the "what we do here" to "Creation is for everyone" in the phrase!!

This might be the one . . .

The more I look at it . . .

Wow, you are now making it difficult . . .

OK - this is great! I am going to have to put some thought into what I am wanting to communicate with my logo -

Thank you for your amazing entries and I will be getting back with you by Sunday or Monday.

I will be making the final decision this next week

Thank you again for your efforts,

Just some ideas, not sure if there where you want to go. Just having fun with the name. Let me know if you would like to see a change on anything. Good luck picking a logo. There are a lot of good ones. Way to go every one.
