Post [Designer Chosen] Due Jan. 14th - Logo Design for RepeaterStore - $175

(Admin code added by Palmer - 58C57733M8867122R)

Hi Guys, I need a really nice logo done in the next week for a website I'm creating.

Design Outpost Creative Brief Worksheet

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
RepeaterStore

What type of product or service do you offer?
Cellular repeater products that are used for improving cell phone coverage and reception. Find out more at http://www.cellboosterstore.com

How long have you been in business?
Startup, but I've been in the industry for a while now.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
The logo is for an ecommerce store that will be reselling the cellular repeater products. I want to have a nice clean, attractive design that will give the site character, and be recognizable. Some part of the logo will probably be used as a favicon.ico for the site.

What are your long term goals?
Sell lots and lots of repeaters through the ecommerce site?

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
Jan 14th

Audience Profile:
Our products are for people who have weak cell phone reception in their home or office environment. The products that we sell actively amplify the cell phone signal and rebroadcast it to improve cell phone coverage in the users home or office.

Who would you like to add to your audience?

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Clean, simple, attractive.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
The design will be used on a site that looks roughly like this (that is a first draft design): http://www.unlockstore.com/repeaterstore.html
It should generally match that site design

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Perhaps something cell phone related, like a cell phone tower, or some sort of signal, or phone signal bar indicator. Have a look at the logo I made for http://www.cellboosterstore.com - but maybe something a little simpler, with less colors.

Communication Strategy:

Where will your new logo be used?
On our website, as a favicon, and on any printed materials.

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

List competitive URLs if possible
http://www.signalwide.com/
http://www.spotwave.com/
http://www.wilsonelectronics.com/

What sets you apart from your competitors?

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Improve cell phone reception.

Thanks Pracus...not bad, but I'd like to see some more ideas. What you've done doesn't have much of a cell phone/reception theme to it, maybe you could change that around and send a few more ideas?

I'd like to see some designs from others too.

Since Cingular has trademarked the rising 5 bar icons. Here is something a little more personal.

Good stuff guys.

Offbeat Version 1: Doesn't really do it for me
Offbeat Version 2: Much better. But the bubble is a bit large, and the bars a bit tall. Maybe make that part a bit smaller, and play with some different fonts?

Senter: I like it. Quite simple, yet attractive. But I'm not too sure about the way you've worked the tower into the o. Have a play and see what else you can come up with. Maybe you can try something with the cell phone bars as well?

BlueCherryGraphics V1: Not really like this one.
BlueCherryGraphics V2: Play with the font a bit - I think this could work well. The logo itself is a bit tall, maybe go for a style a bit more like Senter's?
BlueCherryGraphics V2: Again, not bad - maybe play with the fonts and see if you can make it a bit smaller and simpler.

Medigraph: Good choice of colors for the site. But it doesn't appeal much - it lacks maybe something like elegance? Have a play with fonts, and maybe coloring too, and see if you can improve. The logo is nice, but show me a few more designs.

Great work all round guys. I look forward to seeing some revisions.

Like I have said before I will not be submitting anything with the cellular bars as Cingular has trademarked this look!

Ill have my revision shortly!

Hi Guys,

Thanks again for your submissions, I enjoyed them all. I think we're pretty close to having something usable, but another round of revisions would be useful.

Medigraph - I like this design. Please try un-italicizing the text, and submit a version with and without the shadow. Also, try using a slightly less vibrant red for the "Store" section. If you could also try playing with the non-text logo, I would appreciate it. Try a few different designs for this part, as I'm not completely sure about the current one.

Offbeatdesign - Of all your submissions, I like the last one the best. However, it still looks a little puerile - please have a play with the last design and see if you can improve the look.

Senter - I really like the clean style of your images, but none of the logos you have designed really catch my eye. Please have a play and see what else you can come up with, particularly try changing the "o" graphic and putting it in different places and with different designs. With regards to the cell bar trademark of cingular - as long as the logo doesn't look too much like Cingular's, it shouldn't be a problem. It's quite a widely used design, and only Cingular's specific version is trademarked by them, not the entire idea of using cell phone bars in a logo.

Since you asked for it . Might as well make it different enough to keep you safe.
