Designers - I am back with a project for a not-for-profit organization. They have agreed to post this in the regular design section (as opposed to the non-profit section) with a higher prize amount to get some great participation on this project. They will also need letterhead and business cards to go with this new logo. Any ideas you could provide for letterhead and business cards would be greatly appreciated by this not-for-profit! Grants and funds are getting harder and harder to get. A great professional image using a logo and letterhead can make their chances even better.

Background on company/group: The Ray County Coalition is a not-for-profit organization. Their Mission Statement is: Through capacity building and collaboration, the Ray County Coalition will develop unified strategies that will decrease social acceptance of substance abuse and violence throughout the county. Ray County Coalition’s Vision Statement: The Ray County Communities will be healthy and safe environments in which to raise our children. The Ray County Coalition serves as a group of dedicated advocates working closely with local, county and state policy makers to encourage passage of laws and the implementation of programs that serve to protect our youth and community. The Ray County Coalition was formed in April of 2000 when five Community 2000 teams in Ray County joined forces to address a growing concern surrounding underage drinking in Ray County. In 2003, the Coalition expanded and broadened their scope to include additional prevention and education outreach.

Audience: The audience will be individuals, teenagers, families, business sponsors/partners, civic organizations, faith communities and legislators.

Colors: Royal Blue and Silver (gray) – need to see proposed logos in both color AND black/white or greyscale

Images: Would like to see a chain link possibly used in the logo, as well as people.

Design notes: Limit designs to no more than two colors. Concepts should be modern/contemporary and demonstrate bringing the community together.

Logo use: The logo will be used on letterhead, business cards, signage, embroidered on shirts and used as the new image of the organization.

Format: Final artwork to be delivered in vector format

Thank you designers!!! Here is some feedback on the designs that have been submitted.

Design One by NHR – can you please change shape of links, they tend to look more like wedding rings than chain links.

Design Two by Elegonics – great concept in designing the people and the chainlink together

Design Three by Elogonics – I am afraid that the people shapes could be misrepresented for a “pregnancy” organization

Design Four by Blesseville - not quite what they are looking for - would like to incorporate a chainlink in the design

Designers-

Sorry for the delay in our response. The committee is struggling finding a logo that is working and conveys the purpose of the organization.

These are the important details:
* colors - blue and gray
* tagline -"The link to safe and health communities" should fit into the design; however, the design should stand on its own without this tagline too.
* The link graphic is not necessary in the design concept, as long as the concept reflects the tagline.

We look forward to seeing new design concepts so that we can wrap this project up in time for some grant proposal deadlines. Thank you for your work to date and we look forward to seeing new concepts. We plan on selecting the winner from the newly submitted designs next week, or sooner if the right design comes through.
