What text should be included in the main part of the logo?

What type of product or service do you offer?

Photography. At the moment just starting out, but will mainly be doing portraits, weddings, sport. I also sell landscape prints framed. I sell these in a store.

How long have you been in business?

About 6 months.

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?

I want my business to look better than the competition. I want a classy looking logo. Nice clean lines.

What are your long term goals?

Become a successful young artistic photographer.

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

Sometime around December 15th. Wouldn't mind if its sooner though.

Audience Profile:

Please describe your existing audience

My existing audience is basically anyone who wanders in to the shop. Mostly younger people. I live in a tourist town, so that is the main appeal.

Who would you like to add to your audience?

Young families with kids. Marrying couples. People interested in art.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:

What type of logo would you like?

Clean contemporary looking. Maybe a silhouette of a photographer in there somewhere(depends if it looks good or not).

Do you have any colours in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)

My main colours I use are light to aqua blues. I like the look of these colours, but please offer sets with several colours so I can see what I like.

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

No, your the designer, show me your talent.

Communication Strategy:

What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?

I want the logo to show class, and appeal to the middle to upper class of the community. I want to show that I am young, but talented, and that my age (16) is a good thing.

What is your tagline or slogan?

I don't have one.

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?

I am a young photographer with a lot to offer. I have great ideas and I can help them with most things they need.

Where will your new logo be used?

I will be using in a business card that I have already half made up and some flyers that I may need some help with later. ill see if I can do them or not.

Competitive Positioning:

Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?

I have a lot of photographic competitors in this town. Most dont even have logos, so I'm looking for something to catch new clients eyes.

To the designers:

I would also like to see some designs with a dark(chocolaty) brown as the background, as I am thinking of using this for my Business Card.


I need something that will look very nice on a blue background. I have half designed the cards, and I have light to dark blue gradient in the form of a sort of hot spot. I want to put the logo in the centre of the front of the card.

A logo that looks good on a blue BG would be good.

Hi Everyone

If possible I would like to bring the due date forward about a week or so. I just realised I need to have the logo for some advertising in a 10-12 days. If possible I would like to get it done by the 5th December!

Hi NHR,

Thanks for the submission. Looking good. Can I see it with a larger space between Michael and Hossen. Also, Can I also get a more longer horizontal version.

With the one on message 5, with the brownish colour, can I see a darker less red-ish brown? I like it, but a bit darker may be better.

I'm not to sure about the "m" shape, its not eye catching enough. I would like to see it a bit different.

That blue is good though.

Would also like to see other designers submissions!

Cheers for that. I like the horizontal layout too. Can I see the logo a bit different, I'm not to sure what the one you have done above is meant to be. Could you maybe try something closer to a distinguishable "M H".

I also like the previous brown better(I think the lighter is nicer!)

Looking much better now. I really like the look of the lettering of the logo.

With version 3.0 and 3.1, regarding the brown, can you change it back to the brown featured in message 5 (Pantone 5195C), they do have the same codes in the graphics, but look much different to me.

Also with V 3.0 and 3.1 can I get a version with the blue background, but with the yellowish colour changed to white as a separate version.

Do I also get the black and white one, I like it also.

An extra $15 to you if you win (that is, if no one else comes along with another design soon)

Im not to much of a fan of the olive green colour, can you try something different please. Maybe a blue background with the "MH" in a different colour. Also, can I get a horizontal version please.
