[Project Complete]April 23rd : Logo for Boutique Portrait Photographer - $125

Admin code added by Abby - 8DW18314319870818

I am very excited to be here and anxious to see what you can come up with.
I am about to open up a studio in a very trendy up market area, full of restaurants and cafes, and expensive clothes shops.
I am more interested in what you, as a designer, see for me to use as a logo. so please share anything unique and different and especially new, im open for anything.

Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Kelly Munce Photography
If possible also Boutique Photography &/or Stunning.Creative.Unique

What type of product or service do you offer?
Photography

How long have you been in business?
2 years

What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
To stand out, make a statement, memorable. To carry my logo through with branding

What are your long term goals?
To be the best photographer for art work photography

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
30th April 2008

Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience
New parents ( pregnancy-babies), teenagers ( fashion)-couples(romance)

Who would you like to add to your audience?
More of the above

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Stunning, creative, unique.. just like what I do.

Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
I love earthy and cool tones, with a splash of colour

Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
If I need an icon, I would like it to look like a ‘signature’ as in my signature, not necessarily my exact signature, (not a full name signature, my initials as a signature)

Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
A must have product

What is your tagline or slogan?
Stunning.creative.unique
I have also used ‘ Get Munce’d ‘ as a previous tagline

What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience?
A lasting memorable, breathtaking impression that is stunning, and a must have on their wall ( my work)

Where will your new logo be used?
Website, promotion products, shop front sign, letter heads, business cards, stickers, t-shirts, tattoos everything basically

Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
I don’t think I have any competitors where I work, they are all mainly wedding photographers

List competitive URLs if possible

What sets you apart from your competitors?
My photography is more about ‘Art Works’ I prefer a client comes to me wanting an Art Work to put on their wall, rather than a series of pretty photos

Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company
WOW

My website is
www.kellymuncephotography.com
please look at it and tell me what you think as a designer, what do YOU think I look like as far as a logo goes

WOWEE Jennifer, thanks so much for your speedy work.
as much as you have some great ideas here, most of them are fonts i have and could do myself ( and have done trying to establish a logo for myself, thought better of it and now leaving it up to professionals)
i would much prefer a stunning easy simple to read text for my name
i also dont' like version 3 or 4 at all, and version 5 is a bit to manly or strong for me, sorry nothing personal.. but i really appreciate you working for me

OK, initially you had posted that you wanted a signature...did you decide you wanted something different? Otherwise, I can only use script fonts that look like a signature - and that 'you could do yourself' if you had them.

Just trying to be sure what you're looking for; if you can point to some examples or clarify the signature part, I'd be happy to try again.

yes i wrote if i needed an ' icon' i would like a signature, not so much for my name, you can see what i mean by signature icon by going here http://www.bwphotos.net/index2.php notice how she has her initials as if she wrote them, this is what i mean by a signature. I know it's very hard to explain what you mean in text format, but i was really hoping to have something new that isn't seen all over the internet today ( not saying that is what you did, just clarifying what i mean) ill scroll through the design outpost to try and get some examples of what i like
again thanks so much

OK; got it. I didn't know you were open to initials, etc. - I thought you meant full signature.

Will post more ideas later today.

Thanks!

No problem; I'll post some other ideas as well today too as initials are pretty prevalent in photographer logos and you want something to differentiate yourself from other photographers, as you said.

ok here's one i spotted, i like whats happening in this thread... like i said, i want to be different, like no one else's so if anyone can put their own twist if you want to try this http://www.designoutpost.com/forums/...ad.php?t=16023

i like the way her initials have the fancy scroll ( i don't necessarily want a scroll) and i also love the icon next to her name further on down the page.
like i said, im open to something new and totally different to what has been seen before, also open to colours, i love earthy colours, and also blues

HI Offbeat, thanks so much for your design, im not keen on how ' 'plain' the writing is. i especially don't like the km in the box, may if we were to do this box, the initials would have to be lowercase?
i also don't like the burgundy colour or orange that has been used so far.

I do like the colours im using on my site so far

i am really lovin that kind of graphic jennifer, i love the colours also, im still unsure on the fonts though, they aren't making me go wow like the graphic is... maybe have the stunning creative unique in lighter colour blue to match the graphic, and boutique photography in fancy writing in the same colour as my name?, and try italic on the creative, and bold on the unique? and a . rather then a | in between ? ok i have to go to bed it's 5.22am here, i can't wait to get up and see some more.. thanks
