Contest: Business card and letter head
Prize: $75
Deadline: 2003-10-27

I just finished a contest that received great response and contributions in the template forum, so here I am again. This time I’m in need of a business card and a letterhead for a norwegian organization called “Byggenæringens Fagsenter”.

Byggenæringens Fagsenter is an organization consisting of companies within the different areas of construction work (don’t know if “construction work” is the right expression here, but the areas are carpenters, painters, plumbers and so on). The idea of the organization is to give the client one, reliable contact conveying serious companies from the different lines of construction work, while giving members a network of autlity companies to recommend to their clients.

The organization slogan is “Kvalitet, ganske enkelt!” (Simply quality) and this should be included on both the letter head and business card along with the logo.

Also, I would like to see the business cards from both of you in a larger versions, and horizontal instead of vertical.

Here are my thoughts on your separate contributions:

Bill,
Please move the logo and text to the left to make room for the recipient name and address to the left. That might also require moving the watermark to the left to rebalance the design.

Also, it seems somewhat strange to have the name centered on the business var when all of the rest is left-aligned, but I guess you’ll need to make some placement changes anyway to make the card horizontal.

Taldo,
I don’t think the current placement of the logo on the letterhead is a good idea as it would require a letter to end premature in order to not end up on top of the logo. The upper, right corner might be a better place for it.

Hi Bill,

I can see that a typo of mine has caused some confusion. The first sentence in my comments to you should have read "Please move the logo and text to the _RIGHT_ to make room for the recipient name and address to the left. " Also, that probably requires moving the watermark to the left side of the page to balance the design.

Furthermore, I would like to see a larger and horizontal version of the business card as mentioned earlier.

The business cards are 9 x 5 centimeters.

Thanks for your revision. I would like to keep the footer as in your first contribution, meaning the roof of the logo as a watermark in the lower, left corner, and the contact info in the lower right corner. Also, please move the logo to the upper, right corner.

Regarding the business card, I would like the green background color to be a little less pale.
