Exclamation [Project Complete] Renova Design Build - $300 [CC412]

**************
In the event that a client abandons a project, we put the submitted designs up for a vote. The designer whose work is selected will prepare the files and email them to the client. If that designer is unavailable to complete the project within 2 weeks, the project will be awarded to the runner-up. In the event of a draw, we will hold a tie-breaker poll.

This poll is open to Design Outpost Apprentices, Designers, and Clients.

Each post in the thread has a post number shown in the upper right corner. When you vote in the poll, choose the design you want to vote for and then vote for the POST NUMBER corresponding to your choice.
**************

Also, that was a design that we were previously given. We like the font of the "R," but the rest is too "frilly," too much.

More information

here are some other logos we were working on - as well as our original one which we like but think is to - fun housey for a luxury re-launch

When our original designer sent us those two examples - this was my reply:

I like the background… with the smaller R (the one on the bottom) but I like the scale of the “stuff” around it and the letter R itself – maybe the R could get about 20% bigger…

I also like the R of Regency: http://www.closinglogos.com/page/Reg...rprises?t=anon
Which doesn’t have the vertical line – may be something we can add to ours that you don’t usually see in a font form…

The font that we use for the “R” in the logo and the font we use to write

“Renova Design Build” can be different I think… if it makes the logo look better.

The stuff around the logo needs to end up being more defined, less squiggly, but I know this is a concept drawing.

This reminded me more of the Bentley logo – which I really like..

In my mind - the full name “Renova” or “Renova Design Build” needs to show up somewhere…

One last question…

The current logo of the house – do we think there might be a way to classy it up and use that – something that Dave mentioned because he loves our logo just as it is – I like it, but don’t quite think it fits the image.

Also – with the concept of the cool stuff around the logo – somehow tying that into guarding your or guiding you or some of the main tenants of our values like nobility, greatness, planning… etc…

definition & Luxury font example

here is an example of some luxury fonts/logos:

LuxuryFonts_06_16_080000.pdf

many of the logos are just simply written - but I want the written version + something more to use depending upon the situation.

some of the words here:

http://www.giorgioarmani.com/index.j...f&audio=acceso

elegance, contemporary, nonchalance, appeal - the simplicity of luxury...

I also like the HP swirls - not the hand in this pic, not sure why or if that can provide any direction but here's the pic.

Credo

OUR PURPOSE

We exist to provide value and to exceed the expectations of our customers - all else is secondary. If customers aren't willing to refer us to their friends, family and business associates at the completion of our renovation projects, we've strayed from our purpose.

OUR CORE VALUES

NOBILITY IN BUSINESS -

- We are uncompromising in honesty and have absolute integrity
- We believe in loyalty to our employees, customers, and sub contractors
- We work with passion, commitment and enthusiasm and we treat everyone with respect.
- We are patriotic for our company, for our city and for our country – we take pride in all we do

PROVIDING VALUE WHERE IT COUNTS -

- We give careful attention to consistency and detail throughout the entire construction process
- Proper Prior Planning Prevents Poor Performance - planning is the surest method to achieve our purpose and must be completed properly before a project can begin.
- To the best of our abilities - we take responsibility to ensure clarity with our clients and sub-contractors
- Doing things right the FIRST time is a priority
- We are only at our best when working with clients and subs that share the same values as we do and who genuinely want to work with a great company on great projects
- Respect for our clients is one reason we are punctual
- We look at costs as if they come out of our personal pocketbook - this means we run our projects as resourcefully as possible striving for efficiency without sacrificing quality

GOOD IS THE ENEMY OF GREAT -

- We never accept the status quo. We achieve and exceed our highest individual and business potential by working as a focused team in a business we can be the best in the world at.
- Health and well being are important factors in greatness - balance is critical to true success.

neither one of these feels luxurious, although I like the simplicity of the first one... it gives me the feeling of an airline company though... and I think possibly that if we use R it might better to be capatilized. I think the name and the logo should be able to stand alone. If you see the little "r" thing it should be a symbol of the name/brand.

I like the way the lettering is - the logo part the r is cool because looks room like, but I need that to excude luxury... the logo itself needs to be tied to luxury. I do like the original plant thing with better lettering... and less detail, more refined looking... can anybody show me what that might look like?

I like this one more than any of the others so far. I wonder if I could see any variations on this look. It is more luxury... if there way any way to bring the concept of design/architecture into the luxury look or renovation - that would be something I'd like to see...

I'd also like to see how this looks with a white background or could be embeliished upon.. Can you show how the lettering would look with out the logo but usign the R or somethign like that. Any concepts on how we could we tie in the golden mean (fibonacci sequence) into this with the leafy natural look still retained?

I really do like the R though - it is simplistic yet has some panache

I like the way the words are layed on 22, and the logo R of the # 17 the best.

BlueCherryGraphics - I don't like number 23. 21 is cool but not the direction we want.

When I say leafy look in post 18, I am referring to the crest type style of logos I originally posted. I'd like to see that style slimmed down. Make it more contemporary.

I also want some element of architecture in this.

Thanks so much for the posts. It helps alot to see different posts.
