[Project Complete] Nov 1 : $225 : children's photographer logo
(Admin code added by Palmer - 8U731923KM0331324)
I have a few other photographers that have received some amazing logos from here!, and I am Super excited to see what you come up with!
Im a maternity/newborn and children photographer with a pile of SPUNK. The majority of my work is newborn and children. My style conveys that spunk, but I do not feel my current logo does.
I am bored with my logo, and I am hoping to move towards a more orange and white based scheme. I love bold and bright, so feel free to throw in another color (pink? blue? green?) if you feel you need too.
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
deanna hall photography

3 years
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
To set myself apart from all the other local photographers, I want to be bold and brave.
What are your long term goals?
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
November 1st

Please describe your existing audience
Mostly women, married with children or expecting children.

Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
Something bold, playful, and fun! nothing cutesy. I am looking for modern.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?) Orange and white?
Definitely orange and something, maybe pink? Green? Blue? I am all about BRIGHT..not neon..just bright and fun...I am currently blue and green ( like EVERYONE else)
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Not overly..i do love to use all my fonts in lower case, ( I like my name all in lowercase…but im not stuck on it) and I tend to not like scripty fonts. Clean and simple, and not century gothic ( again like everyone else uses!)

Fun, playful, modern, and bold

What sets you apart from your competitors?
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Fresh,fun, and modern.
sigh... thank you so much... for starting on this..it was so hard to sit and wait for someone to jump in..I am sure that I checked this post about 100 times over the past 2 days!
glyphica, I love the clean, crisp and modern font you used for my name and of course I love it in lower case too. I am not digging the tree at all. but the colors are close to what I was after! and I like the dots as well. (my current logo has dots, and I like them!) not saying that I need dots in this new one.. I think I am open to almost anything. I think I have in my head something that is a "wow" orange, then with some fewer blips of a different color. Version #1 seems more about the browns to me!
Its hard to give this cc I tell you... I appreciate your efforts, and I can not wait to see what else you ( or others) come up with!
Offbeat, thank you for joining in on this one.. I love the BOLD pop of orange! and Im actually not minding the pink too much either! I think I would like to see something with a blue/orange combo or maybe a green/orange combo also. Im not sure I loving the dh inside the box however, to me it looks more like an oh than a dh.
Glyphica..thank you for your 2nd version..I am not at all a paisley fan. I dont mind the color block above my name..just not loving the paisley pattern at all.
thank you so much for everyone's go at it so far..I know it early on in this..Im excited to see the end product!
Carol,
thank you for jumping in on what seems like a relentless branding journey! Im excited to see some orange and blue!, I like it more than I thought I would! I still am liking the pink/orange combo, but thats the easy part to change! the font is not for me, I prefer more clean, crisp type fonts.
offbeat.. Version2 :Love the different font! Im giggling at how much that is actually like my current logo.. without the dots! and thats ok I love the PHotography font!
overall I was hoping for something a with a bit more youthful feel to it!
version 3: I think I like either the pink/orange or blue/orange like you have here..but Im not liking the block in front..cool how you used one inital inside the other though!
Version4 & 5: are kinda cool, but I was hoping for something other than my initials as the logo.
version 6 I like somewhat...do you think that an orange/grey combo would work better? again I am attracted to my name and the photography...I think because of its similarity to my current logo
dewa: thank you for joining in also! Your design is just not me!, but I would love it if you would keep trying!
Im excited to see if anyone can use the hip studios images I posted as some inspiration. I really love the top one and the bottom one from that set...the texture on the color block..just adds some modern funky fun feel to them!
Glyphica...this one is my favorite so far..hands down.. I really am liking the textured color area,!...and I actually like the orange and grey also.
Im not sold on the circle/square idea...so many photographers have it, I would love something different..I will try to do some more brainstorming....
I wonder if you could meld your version #2 with #3 and use 2 colors...and with something else...childlike...other than paisley?
do you have any different fonts? I think that you created logos for 2 local photographers...and I think they both have that same font...too bad.. I LOVE it...I like the look of it.. i dunno maybe one with a slanted e? if you know what I mean?
sorry guys I was out of town yesterday..
glyphica, i think i still prefer version #3..Maybe because of just the hint of extra colors.. I like the orange being the main, and grey text for sure. Version 4, i love the texture, but now I am wondering what just three blocks of color with texture might look like? say the orange in the middle (WIDER) then maybe a sliver of pink/blue on the outside edges?
I like the font change on the e, but dont like that style of a at all, or the ll's actually. I promise I will be around more this week to help you guys out as much as I can.
Pracus, thank you for joining in! I like what you have started with, i like the fact that the design is not a square or a circle, that it is something different!however I am not much of a flowery person.. I am all about swirls and things but not flowers per se.I dunno just throwing some thing out there... kites, bouncing balls, kid things, maybe if the flowers were more hand drawn..like something I child would do? I hope I am giving you guys enough ideas..if I am not let me know, and I can do some more snooping around.
xpressions, thank you for joining in, I appreciate your time and effort, but what you have shown here, isnt the style of logo I am after. I would of course love to see what else you can come up with!
Glyphica...LOVe the font you are using..I really like the tilted e! and the clean crisp lines of the remaining letters. I like the fun, and modern feel of version #5 very much. but it still isnt quite saying high end. It definitely fits the fun aspect however.Totally my favorite version so far! Thank you!
version 6, I dont mind either...I actually like only having the 2 colors there..I dont really have any feedback on it.. part of me thinks maybe its too much color block? or maybe the word photography should be only the part in the block? or maybe my name? a thinner more slender color block?
7, not for me, too swirly girly
8: while I love the damask type border around the edge, there are plenty of people using a similar idea to that, and I am hoping to step away from the norm.
I am also leaning towards just the orange and grey...to me, it is saying more high end.. its more minimalistic, and simple. Does anyone think they could work more with that.. something minimal, clean, simple, lets try skipping the playful part...high end..? tell me to go fly a kite if I am nuts! I did some googling of the few high end stores, eg, chanel, gucci, prada, Dolce&Gabbana and they are all very simple and minimalistic.
Once again thank you so much for all your efforts! I truly appreciate it!
wow taldo.. I really like the simplicity of your version 2. I really like the deanna hall part.. the icon in the front still isnt quite what I am after..I feel that the icon is to bold, if thats the correct word... the text in the back is clean, crisp and the icon is too big for the latter part...does that make sense? I like the direction you are going with this very much!
