I have always admired the work on this site, and are glad to have a project to post here! I have graphic background myself, but recognize my limitations and, therefore, seek the advice of experts.

Summary:
Zmedia as, is a newly-established printing company that sell printing on paper, and design / pre-press services. We have new technological solutions, and delivers quality printing. We have long experience in the industry, and want to appear to be solid and secure collaborator, and with forward-looking solutions / technology. The logo should reflect this.

Q: What type of product or service offering you?
A: Printing of books, newspaper, catalogs, brochures, annual reports, manuals, advertising etc.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: The people for decades, but the company's newly-established.

Q: What do you hope to achieve with your new identity?
A: We need a professional logo to brand our business.

Q: When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
A: November 10

A: All industries, from publishing to private firms

Perception / Tone / guidelines:
Q: What kind of logo do you want?
A: An illustrated logo with a clean, professional, dynamic feel. Should reflect our professionalism, good service, strength and security to choose our company.
We want it with a symbol / illustration.
To be used in color and black printing press.

Q: What should be on the logo?
A: The text "Zmedia as" and a icon / symbol.

Q: How Zmedia as written?
A: The text "Zmedia as" can be written as follows: Zmedia as, Zmedia AS, Z media as, Z MEDIA AS. We will go for the design that looks best, regardless of the way its written. So If the design you come up with have a spesific written way it looks better, thats up to you to decide how to write Zmedia as.

Q: Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
A: It should have something with printing, (and graphic design) to do.

Q: How will the new logo to be used?
A: The brand business. And it will be used on a website, on paper (brochures, letters, envelopes, business cards, etc.), clothing, promotion material.
Must be eps (vector) file.

Fonts:
It should fit with what the logo to represent

Q: Do you have any color in mind for your logo? (If yes, why?)
A: Want suggestions from you. Then we can change the colors of the logo we choose whether it is necessary. We prefer to have colours that will work independent of the trends.

Q: Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos?
A: There are several, but I have not seen a logo that I like. I want a unique and distinguished logo.

Thank you for posting so far, everybody!

I think this looks really promising. Very fine proposals that have emerged so far. I like something with anyone who has submitted, so it is no doubt there are good people who made suggestions.

Since many of the logos are so different and I am open to their suggestions, I do not want to come with feedback beyond that I honestly like very well the proposals that have emerged in. This is not to add any new proposals for the logo to come.

I hope more logos will come, and again thanks to you who have submitted proposals already!

Here's my preliminary response to each and every one of the proposals.

I must say this really has responded to the expectations, because I think you have made many good suggestions.

Glyphica - Version 1: I think the idea is good, but are unsure whether it is this we are left with at the very end.

Blue Cherry Graphics - Vesrion 1: I think the figure is a bit "heavy" while there is little for small forward that it is the letter Z. Tab associate with the paper, but should also be more visible.

Giant - version 1: Think this is clean and nice, and liked it immediately. Is good in both color and black and white. If there was to point out something - that is the desire for a symbol / emblem / illustration, in addition to the logo.

Giant - version 2: The logo is fine, but is a bit flimsy on the basis of what we imagine. Set up to version 1, the version 1 is more what we imagine.

Giant - version 3: Like this also - clean and nice logo.

LutFi - Version 1: A nice logo, but the associate for the roll and press sheets. But very good. Like cyan, magenta, yellow and black - the colors.

LutFi - version 2: This I liked immediately, but after having seen more of it so I think the associate to the letter S. Perhaps it had been better if the pattern was reversed so that it resembles a Z?

LutFi - version 3: Likethis also, but Z (symbol) to associate too much with a letter from the East. Had been better with a different font on the Z.

LutFi - version 4: Think this also was fine, and Z are well forward.

Xpressions - version 1: Like this very well. Could well imagine to set the letter Z was even more clearly stated in the symbol.

Xpressions - version 2: This gives associations to the industry and think it is good in both color and black and white.

Offbeat Design - version 1: I think this is good-, but do not think this will be selected at the end.

Glyphica - version 2: Like this better - due. colors.

Giant - version 4: Think this also was fine. I'd Like to see the symbol Z without a white field in the top and bottom.

Lutfi - version 5: Like the way Z and M was made.

Xpressions - version 3: Like this, too. Is it possible to Z of the symbol to become even more evident?

Elogonics - Version 1: Good suggestions, but is a little unsure of the symbol.

Offbeat Design - Version 2: Like this, but you can try to create the symbol so it looks like a Z. Now that it appears that an S.
