[Project Complete] - Jewelry store logo needed as soon as possible - $125
(Admin code added by Palmer - 8UH10425R8825390T)
This project is for a jewelry store that is being completely remodeled - everything, including the logo is getting a facelift! But we're starting with the logo, so we are very open to ideas and will provide as much feedback as possible to all your wonderful creations! We'd love to see as many options/variations as possible!
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
The Rich Gem is the name. There is no tagline right now.
What type of product or service do you offer?
High-end jewelry. All types of jewelry - so we want to stay away from things like using a stylized diamond ring.
How long have you been in business?
10 years.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
We hope to rebrand and refresh our identity. It's been 10 years since the brand has been updated - we're looking for a fresh start and an identity that will drive the store remodel.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
I'd love to have as many concepts as possible to review by May 4 and have a finalized version ready by May 20.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
More than anything, we are looking for an elegant logo - clean and professional. It should cater to clients who purchase very high-end jewelry.
IMPORTANT: We want to stay away from overly modern fonts and distractions such as big looping circles.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
We do not have any specific color guidelines at this point - just something elegant and not overly modern.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
Again, nothing specific. We may want to stay away from things like stylized diamond rings (they've been overdone and the jewelry store sells more than just rings - it sells all types of jewelry).
Where will your new logo be used?
Everywhere - from web to print and on store signage.
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
We'd like it to reflect a high-end jewelry retailer - it should let people know that the jewerly is top quality and elegant.
What is your tagline or slogan?
We do not have one yet.
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company:
Elegance. Quality.
Thank you in advance! We are excited to see what you come up with! If you have any questions, please let us know!

Thanks so much for the submissions thus far! Please keep them coming!
I think we still need to push towards the main goal which is elegance.
Some quick feedback:
Glyphica:
Version 1 - I'm wondering if something more can be done with the "R"; i.e incorporate the 'g' into the bottom curve somehow? Or work it into the name differently? Also, we feel the 3 words need to be broken up somehow for easier readability.
Version 2 - I appreciate the stylized diamond shape and letter, but a bit too industrial.
nutscreative:
Version 1 - This one looks a bit too wild west.
Version 2 - Some possibilities here. I'd like to see a bit more elegance injected into it; perhaps some font/color alternatives? Less gradiants - or something to make the letters easier to read.
Version 3 - We're not fond of the icon or font spacing on this one.
xpressions:
Version 1 - Really like the RG merger. Could we see some various colors if used on a white background? And any other variations using this merged RG would be welcomed as well.
Some overall comments:
- Please don't feed tied to only serif fonts. We're open to sans-serif as well. Are ultimate goal is to exude class and elegance, so we're happy with whatever works best to create this style (we just want something beautiful that doesn't look like it should be used for a tech company).
- Also would like to see some other colors options; We'd be curious to see a bit softer colors in the mix.
- Can we do something clever and elegant with a gem?
We don't want to pigeon hole your creativity, but these are just some logos we feel demonstrate elegance in way or another. We will try to find some others, but here's a start:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/outenaar/3500319783/
http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/15235 (we don't want flowers in it, but there's something simple and elegant about this one)
http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/71035
http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/94330 (do NOT like the colors, but we like the simple, clean elegance)
http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/93395 (no not like the font, but the colors and style of the bird are beautiful)
http://logopond.com/gallery/detail/99021 (simple and elegant)
Please keep them coming! We'll try to find some additional examples we like!
Thanks so much!!

eloginics - thank you so much for the submission! Can you provide some other concepts that don't use the 'RG'? Thank you! (We're just hoping to see a variety of ideas... )

Nutscreative - we really like version 4. Could we see:
1. A few more variations on this style?
2. Also, could we see both version 4 and the new variations in green?
3. Lastly, can we use "The Rich Gems" (with an 's'). We're thinking of changing it for the reopen.
Thanks so much!

Sorry for the delay, guys. The upcoming holiday has put us behind due to staff on vacation. We will have the final decision after Memorial Day. Thanks again.

We have selected a winner! It's been a tough decision! We have selected Nutscreative's version 06.
Nutscreative - please shoot us over the final files when you get back from vacation! Thanks so much!
