artemii,

Thanks for sending this. A few comments:

1) Let's remove the "stake your claim in cyberspace"

2) I would like an icon/graphic instead of the SBD symbol. For example, the existing logo is a pick axe and shovel which related to staking a claim. I would like an icon here which suggest small business, starting a business, starting an online business. I like the pick axe and shovel but would like something different and new.

3) The "smallbusiness-domain.com" text looks good in black. The icon/graphic can be in color, but prefer darker colors. The icon will also be used as the favicon

Thanks for posting your designs. I like your v2 design. It is neat, clean, and simple, something that we are looking for. I also really like the briefcase image. This is good because when someone sees a briefcase they think business and also this image could be used for a favicon.

A few things about the logo though. I'd like to see the word "business" more differentiated from the word "small" rather than it blending together and appearing as one word. Perhaps try a different color. It's creative how you chose to have the image and .com come from the dots on the I's but could you create a logo that is more sleek and not quite as tall? So for instance it might be briefcase image followed by smallbusiness-domain and then the .com. All in a straight line. But also continue to keep the .com smaller than the rest of the text so that it's less important but not out of sight. And also another thing I liked the look of was different colors for the dots of the I's. Subtle but adds a nice touch. So with this feedback, it would be great if you could do another version.

Thanks for posting your design. Please see my previous reply to brunocalvin for some more info. And as stated in an earlier post, we'd like to see an icon or image which really is unmistakable with representing business. While your icon is aesthetically pleasing, I'm not sure what it represents.

I feel the logo is evolving in the right direction. I like the image that you've created for your v1 and v1.1 logos of the man holding the briefcase. Could you incorporate this image but make the text larger? Preferably the logo image shouldn't be too much taller (a little taller is just fine) than the text itself. If you look on our website, http://smallbusiness-domain.com, the new logo should hopefully fit in the same space or a space only slightly taller than that which is allotted for the current logo.

Also, as for the font, I prefer the look of the wider characters in v1 and v2 rather than v1.1. I'd also like for the text itself to stand out more. In v1 and v1.1 it blends in a bit with the image. I'd rather it be complimentary then blend together.

Also, we will be picking a designer in the next day or so.

brunocalvin:
It would be great if you could take one more stab at the logo before we make our decision using some of the feedback provided to Platre.

As for your last post, if the briefcase icon is used to the left of the text, I think the border should be removed. And this was just a thought. Seeing how you used different colored dots for the I's, perhaps you could try to link these words together through the dots. Something like an arrow like you see on the amazon.com logo. This would just be to add a little more flare to the logo.

Thanks for the feedback!
Here is version 1 with the font ajusted. I can shorten the leg of the man to fit in your website header.
Do you want to keep the box around the name?
Let me know

Thanks for participating. We are going to choose Bruno Calvin for the logo.

Bruno, we may ask you to add a man (such as the AOL running man) holding the briefcase to the logo. Please see below:

bruno,

we like your design. However, per #24 above can you add a man with a briefcase similar to #18. However, would like the "man with briefcase" to be more blocky like the AOL Man.

I prefer design 19 to design 21.

Hi,

Just to clarify, Bruno will not be able to closely duplicate anything another designer submitted. That design still remains the intellectual property of the original designer.

Just wanted to clarify; sometimes client think the designers collaborate, but each designer works independently.

Thanks!

Thanks for posting up the two new designs. These are a good start. Could you try redoing the man? But this time with the head and briefcase being larger and more exaggerated in comparison to the rest of his body. In terms of the body shape and position, please focus more on your design from post 28. I do like how his head is different color from the body too since it matches with the alternate colors of the dots on the i's. Thanks.
