Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
Either "Ragelands" or "The Ragelands". We are imagining the logo is primarily the text.
What type of product or service do you offer?
Ragelands is an online game focused on intense multiplayer team battles (5v5 format). Ragelands allow playing various character classes from melee focused warriors that do damage with swords, axes, etc to magic focused mages that do damage with spells.
How long have you been in business?
Just launching this game.
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity?
Use the logo to build a website, build splash screens for the game, use the logo in marketing videos, etc.
What are your long term goals?
World domination.
When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?

Gamers - Mostly teen thru adults, mostly males.

Just launching -- everyone.
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like?
One logo concept is to emboss "The Ragelands" on a worn piece of metal (ideally, the metal would be worn, pitted, and perhaps even chunks removed to make it look like it has survived a lot of battles). As the game has a medieval/mythical setting, an interesting font should be selected. We are open to other concepts though.
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Aggressive, strong, masculine colors.
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?

Play Ragelands for intense multiplayer team battles.
Where will your new logo be used?
The logo will be used on a new ragelands.com website, on splash screens within the game, and as an icon to launch the game. So, we need both a full size logo and an image appropriate for a 64x64 pixel icon.

In my own experimenting, I found the fonts "Dirt2 Soulstalker" and "Ithornet" fonts to be interesting although they might be a bit over the top.

I think the wear on this metal is interesting and perhaps envision a bit more wear (pitting, chunks removed, etc). To be clear, I'm including this for the metal look -- we have no interest in seeing Nazi symbols in our logo.

Thanks for designing our initial concept. Perhaps the metal look is a mistake as the logo ends up looking colorless when made to look like metal. Also, the text is a bit hard to read. I'm just not sure if this concept can be made to work.

Regarding #11, this is not the look we want.
Regarding #12, this is the best design thus far; however, I'd like to find a way to add some color to the logo although I'm not sure of the best way to achieve this.

Regarding #19, the blue gives it an icy vibe -- not sure that fits with "Rage" in Ragelands as well as fire related colors.
Regarding #20, I actually sort of like the solid red in the lower left the best. Perhaps the main gradient logo just needs to use more reds / darker oranges.
I also wonder if we could put axes / swords behind the logo -- might be too much, not sure.

Regarding all submissions, we described a single concept that sounded interesting to us but we did not intend to narrow all designs to that single concept. We'd like to see your own concepts as well.

Regarding #22, I do like the darker red behind the letters and mostly like the axe. This is my favorite design thus far but I'd like to see some different concepts yet.

Regarding #27, I do sort of like the font. I'd try to texture the solid red behind the font to make it more interesting. I'm not really liking the axe integrated into the R. The decorative border around the whole logo seems too gentle for "Ragelands". Might try axes / swords behind the whole logo.

Regarding #29, this is your best design thus far and shows promise. The background is much more interesting now.
The coloring of the axes and sword seems odd though. The silver text on the red background might be ok but I wonder if something else would work better.
