[Project Complete] - Dog trainer logo needed - $450

(Admin code added by Palmer - 712410550Y931641L)

I am offering a high price because I want original work, not clipart; and high-quality, elegant, professional. I want art/images integrated with text. Art should fit well with non-generic font(s)/text design.

Business name: Calm Energy dog training.

My primary design concept (though designs other than this are more than welcome): a dog on the left of the business name, sitting in crossleg Buddhist meditation pose, perhaps smiling peacefully; then business name ("Calm Energy" larger than "dog training", and maybe in dif color/font); then person on right side of name, also sitting in crossleg Buddhist meditation pose smiling. Maybe a leash connecting the person and dog.

Colors: calming, light blue is my business theme. Supplemented with calming light green.

I do not want cartoony. I want sophisticated, elegant, professional, calming, peaceful.

Yet I do not want corporate, boring, bland.

Lighthearted, humorous..yet not brash and cartoony. Relaxing and joyful.

If anyone wants to submit or suggest additional design concepts, I am open.

If anyone wants more detailed info or has questions, let me know.

I will want formats for print/business cards/apparel, as well as for the top banner of a webpage.

Thank you!

Below are my responses to the form questions, though the important points were covered in my initial post.

What text should be included in the main part of the logo?
> Calm Energy dog training

When is the deadline for final entries before choosing a designer?
> sooner the better - but I already have a website, business, business cards etc; so I am waiting for true quality.

What type of logo would you like?
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo?
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business?
> All of this is in my initial post.

What is your tagline or slogan?
> "Based in Brooklyn, serving all of NYC"
However I would like two versions of each formatted logo, one with the tagline and one without.

Where will your new logo be used?
> Page header for this web template: http://luiszuno.com/themes/wp-vintage/
> Also on business cards, jackets/apparel, etc.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
> They are about training dogs to be obedient and do tricks. Calm Energy is about teaching people how to raise dogs who are calm, peaceful, trusting, obedient, and social.

I like that a lot! Thank you! I prefer the horizontal/next-to over the above/below. I also want the "Calm Energy" to be all blue, and "dog training" to be green (this is partly because I don't want anyone reading "calm dog training", because of some other things called that.)

What I'd like to add: 1) a person also, because the training relationship is a partnership; 2) a smile (but subtle?), to clarify the happy/joyful/relaxed vibe instead of total seriousness; 3) a font that is... more flowing? Less generic? Some different fonts to give me a range. Can be interesting here.

Looking forward to seeing more!

Adding the person looks too clumsy, cumbersome...
added smile and flowing leash to connect with the font...

This is good but a little too cartoony for me. I prefer sleeker, more iconic design

Also think I'll prefer no leash in the final design, it always looks like dog is getting strangled.

Hi Bill! Can I see this one with the colors of the leash-version (but still with no leash), and with the dog smaller, more in size with the text? He just looks to me like a colossal statue of a dog.

Bill, I really would love to see if you can add a similarly iconic/graphic meditating person. I think that adds a theme I want and also helps see the dog as meditating too

Thank you for the feedback. May I know why you feel the logo is cartoony? I tried to make the dog a bit realistic looking though still rendered it in outline. Are the details of the dog making it more cartoony? Thank you.
