(Admin code added by Michael - DN895964H)
I am seeking help on a logo design for my company DoctorTurf. I offer turfgrass management consultation services for golf courses, homelawns, and athletic fields in addition to product development. I am looking for something simple yet effective.
I was thinking like a radiant sun rising above some finely manicured grass like a putting green with details of roots and soil, etc.....water (rain) incorporated somewhere maybe but I am open to any suggestions, of course. Simple is better.
I have attached a link to my website. Looking forward to hearing from someone.
I will donate $100 to the winner and the deadline is Friday June 18. Sorry for the short notice but I just dicovered this website.
Thanks,
Gordon

Hi Paula,
I like the second one (with the golf ball) maybe with some grass underneath it.
I wanted to have some plants or soils incorporated into the logo somehow. Making it somewhat earthy, ir you know what I mean.
Thanks for the response and I look forward to seeing what else you can come up with.

I tried to make something that I thought would look very professional and very simple. Let me know what you think.

Great! They all look really good.
One thing I should point out is that I am not exclusively working with golf courses. I also work on home lawns and athletic fields so I don't think the logo should portray only the golf. Maybe we could mute the golf course theme a bit and add some other creative concepts.
I do like the layering in second one sent by bloggins, and for some reason I like the circle look. You know the logo inside a geometric shape. Maybe with the soil, root detail, rain falling, and no golf ball or something like that.
For some reason I also wanted the sun in some form or another so that would be cool too.
Looking forward to seeing what else you can come up with.

Yea, mBliegh.
I like your design especially with the stethescope but I do need the logo to carry the dr. spelled out as doctor and I was really shooting for something a bit more earthy.
bloggins....your on the right track.
how about having the sun set.......sun rays......and unifying the circle with the doctor turf oval.....like a u-shape rather than a half circle. Also I wanted to see what it would look like in black and white.
keep up the great work everyone!

Here's one from me.
I already had the golfball and everything worked out so I went for it.
Looking forward to your thoughts.
Thanks,

Mbleigh,
I like this one. How about we just change the colors on the bottom so doctorturf is black and the back ground white. Maybe adding those tufts of grass on the word 'doctor' like you have for turf. And I would also like to see how it looks without the stethescope.
The top looks really cool.
Would it be possible to take a look at the image in gray scale?

I like it alot. Very happy with the way it's coming together.
One last thing.....just to make sure.....would it possible to see a version with only the word 'doctor' without tufts and then none of the text with the tufts. I just want to see what it would look like.
Excellent job!

Bogglins,
I really like yours and I like the simplicity of the text. I would like to see the circle and the bottom unified and a rectangle around the lettering in a different line width perhaps. I would also like to see a couple of other fonts.
Here is an attachment of what we are looking for to finish up and if you could try a couple of different fonts and a rectangular bottom, we should be able to pick one.
Thanks a lot for everyone's hard work and great ideas!
