Flash, php, MySQL and oscommerce

Hello, this is an odd one. I would like to enter a contest (when i have the money) for someone to design a custom computer creator in flash for my web store that's run in oscommerce. Obviously skills in graphics design, php, MySQL and a bit of oscommerce experience is a must.

What it needs to do is when selecting certain things like a computer case a image would appear without refreshing the page (i would give more details but its a bit of a secret). Basicaly i need the page to dynamicly load rather than all of it if that makes sense.

When they have finished the computer it obviously needs to be added to the cart of oscommerce.

Last but not least is the control panel for the items selectable in the custom computer creator. This would be in oscommerces admin panel and write to a MySQL database for the flash to pick up (im not experienced in this so it might work a completely different way)

The items have extra data attached to them, such as performance rating, cost etc... this will be relaid to the customer through the flash customer computer creator.

Now to my point, this is obviously a large project but how much you expect to pay for this? i was looking around 500USD.

The Flash we can do, everything else would need to be done by someone skilled with programming. We have a few clients that are capable as well as a few designers that could do this. They can contact you privately with their quote.

To be honest, this project is a lot of work and i will outline why.

Design,
The design of the site will need to be done, and probably seperate from the custom computer creator as this will be only one small part of the site.

Flash,
The flash for the customer computer builder can be quite basic, with a white background the options and nice border to house it.

Oscommerce,
you are going to need someone to set this up and then integrate the design into oscommerce, and then integrate the flash to work with the custom computer creator, do you already have the code for this? Or do you need it coding, its a big job to create it in php let alone plug it into flash and have it running from the DB too.

I think your budget of $500 might just get you the design and flash, but I would budget double that at least to get everything you want upto a good standard

Also you dont need to use flash, it means people will have to have the flash plugin to use your store, there are other options which in my opinion would be better for you.

Hi, the design of the site is not a problem i have a custom oscommerce site up and running. When i was talking about the design i ment the buttons / background etc... of the computer creator.

ahh well if you already have the site set up and running, why not just plugin the custom computer creater that is available in the OS downloads.
