I'd like you designers to have something to put on your site that designates you as a member of the design team here at DesignOutpost.com. Something small and attractive that you can put on your home page or portfolio. I'm going to try to work on one but if anyone was feeling creative, feel free to post your logo here.

The size should be around 100x60 but that's just something to go by. I'd prefer that the colors and font would match this site but it's not required. Maybe if a few are made we can just pick the one you like the most and use that on your site so if you want to use the existing colors of your site, go right ahead.

The font I used is Trebuchet MS, but you knew that didn't you? There is no deadline or time frame, just when you have some free time and the itch to be creative.

Good luck, and thanks,
Palmer

Thanks Marina for your contribution. Looks very nice, I appreciate the effort.

Any members of the design team, feel free to pick a banner from any that are submitted to use on your own sites.

Not at the moment but I'll try to think of some. Anyone else feel free to add your suggestions for some phrases for Zoe.

If you guys are willing to take some advice from someone whos not on the design team. I think one of your best ways to get people over here is from other forums. I personally found your site from the SitePoint Trading post. If you are all active in sitepoint doing contests and such (maybe even convincing some people to move their contests to here) then you will be booming. Just create a nice little graphic that you can put in your signatures and be as active as you can be.

Thanks for the comments Cypher. A few of them have a link in their sigs at SP, I'm trying to convince the rest that that's something that will benefit all of us. Unfortunately they don't give you the abilty to put images in your signature their.

Regarding "convincing" people to post their contests here, the design team is probably concerned with getting in trouble for self promotion (although technically I don't think it is). I don't see any reason why any contest holder, such as yourself, can't mention this site.

One thing I can guarantee with posting a contest here is the quality of the entries. So far everyone who has had one has a very difficult decision in the end. I think that reflects the fact that they (the design team) were invited here, not that they just stumbled in from somewhere else. People will find us, just like you did. Maybe after reading this, all the design team will put a link in their signatures

Thanks again for the comments,
Palmer

Hey Palmer,

If we design a graphic for this, can we put it below our avatar?

[edit]Doh! I didn't understand the question, no you do not have any control over what goes below your avatar. sorry [/edit]

Sure, avatars can be anything you want. Within reason of course

I made a new avatar for myself at SP...
<img src='http://www.sitepointforums.com/custom_avatars/avatar13236_16.gif[/img]

I've attached the .psd file if that will help for any reason.
