[Designer Chosen] Logo for "Uncomfortable Weekend" $25

(Admin code added by Palmer - XG678240B)

I need a simple logo for a high school church event: "Uncomfortable Weekend" I would like to incorporate a small couch like what is attached here. My current logo is just this couch with the word "Uncomfortable" underneath (we are using a font called amazon downloaded from dafont.com). The image attached is very small and not really usable though.

So, just a little couch image like this, and the words "uncomfortable" or "uncomfortable weekend" underneath it should be fine. You can add your own creativity to this design to make it better.

Nothing churchy or overly religious - just simple and cool and geared towards young people.

Hi guys,

I'll help you out... but first: will this go on a shirt, or printed pieces, or what other mediums? Just trying to get the format correct.

Thanks,

Aaron

It will go on a variety of things...shirt, web, print media.

do you think the couch should be old and worn in looking, or is that too much detail for a simple logo. The concept of the weekend is to encourage kids to be uncomfortable in their faith, so a worn in comfey couch a paradox, but might be good anyway.

Open to all ideas.

We can bang it up a bit, but you're right, for a logo, simpler is better.

Let me see what I can do about that. I'll post it later tonight.

Thanks for the 2 entries folks. At this point, I'm not seeing anything that really catches my eye and looks better than the clip-art looking sofa I already have. Maybe it's the scribbled look of the original couch that I like.

Any other takers, or any fresh ideas?

I'm still not seeing anything that catches the eye. If anyone out there has a design, even if it goes in a different direction, I'd love to see it. Feel free to vary from the worn couch look at this point. Thanks.

Hey guys...It's been a while, but I still would like to finish this project. I'm not really feeling much with the sofa design, so if there is any creative designer that would like to create a logo for UNCOMFORTABLE WEEKEND, I'd love to see some ideas.

Don't feel pressured to use the couch look...go with something else if you are so inspired. We can go more logo, rather than graphic. We just need something simple, and easy to use in print and on the web.

Stude,

Thank you so very much for your quick reply to my request.

Let me see if I can help you some. Can you possibly point the designers to some logo/icons that you find appealing so that they may be able to go the direction you are looking for?

This too - what exactly is an 'uncomfortable weekend'? What is it for (purpose)? What is done during that weekend? Why do teens want to go to it? - these answers may spark some creative ideas

As well, can you be more specific in a few replies about the designs that have been submitted already - if we know what it is in those that you are not finding appealing, maybe we can come closer.

Again, thanks for jumping back in here

Lori,

Uncomfortable weekend is a church event for high school students. Our website (www.412students.com) will give you an idea about what we do. We're looking for a graphic that would connect withe a postmodern generation, and isn't churchy or religious. It can be simple.

As far as logos we like, we like elegant things...more along the lines of a starbucks look. subtle and elegant, rather than bold and in your face.

Hope this helps.

Michael,

I have moved the project back from the inactive forum - please just let us know which design you are choosing.

Thanks.

Michael,

It has been quite some time since you contacted me stating you would choose a winner for this project.

Could you please go ahead and do that so we can close this project out?

Thanks for your attention.
