Recently joined a group to help support the National Parks through an e-commerce site. The organization is in the developement stage right now.

Name of the 501© org is Park Headheadquarters.

Seeking logo inputs and possibly Web templates. Not sure of the results so the others are not committed to making a payment. However they have agreed that if one is accepted and used a payment of $100-$200 would be well justified.

Initial concept is to have an image of cabin-like headquarters building in a meadow with mtns and/or stream. Next to the image would be the name in a vintage style or history or appropriate to the concept. Earth tone colors, Yellowstone N.P. may be an emphasis but prefer to keep it general for all park lovers of all parks.

Site template would have to support forums, links, maybe banners, and e-commerce.

Time is a little important here so maybe by the end of the week I might have some samples.

What else?

Thumbs up

Is there not interest in this one? What are we missing? Would it require a prize?

Just caught us at a busy time. I'm signing on some new designers to help with the contests. It's just a matter of them finding the time to help. Sorry for the slow response.

Would you need the coding to be done on the template, or just the design?

Hi, I will have something tomorrow (Friday). Is the image connected in anyway or there just as an example of what you would like to see?

I'm thinking of tracing the cabin, trees and mountain then incorporating that into the logo, does that appeal? This is for the logo I’m sure FTI will come up with an excellent site template..if not I’ll step in

I'll see if I can squeeze some time in to throw together a template for you, but my desk is about to collapse with all the work I have yet to finish. Will try though.

Just the design. There is another doing the actual coding with and html editor.

Image is not connected. Just a concept picture.

Tracing the image does appeal.

Thanks much!

This uses a classic-looking font with a woodsy scene. Any suggestions or feedback is always welcome!

Just checking, it is Park Headheadquarters then -- with two heads? Would Park Head Headquarters be alright or do the two heads need to be together?

Park Headquarters. Only one. Sorry for the typo.
Julie and Michael.

Both of you have great images!

Leaning towards Michaels. Very impressive. I like it!

Michael, can you detail logs in the cabin, and no shading on the roof? And less windows. I'm a little concerned about the image in a smaller size. And detail some rock impressions on the foundation (just lines I;m thinking)? #1 and #2 are both good. It may be great to have both versions of a logo for different applications.

How about a stylistic font? The closest I've found is "Algerian". But something rustic 1890's would be interesting.

Cool, well if you're pretty happy with Michaels so far then I think I'll let him work on it. I've hurt my wrist and ought to be resting it.

yes, that font is the Algerian I have. But if you have a better style, we are open to it.

Good on the logs and windows. Can you drop the door on the right side ? The other person in the 'prototype' process will be able to see them Sat.

How about a version without the foundation rocks and just continue logs down? for her to see Sat.

Michael, Good progress.

How about #6 with some changes?
Let's go back to the orginal windows.
Drop the angled beam on the front left corner.
Darken the log lines just slightly.
And the perspective of the front corner (where it used to be rock) needs to be aligned.
Perspective is also off on da roof line.... r. lower eave looks lower than l. eave. Not sure of the correction though...
No stepping stones in the 'bordered' image.

Hello again,

good good good. I like the two beams!

Can we add a chimney and drop the lines on the roof (#8) and the algerian font?

On the early versions I recall the windows a little more bluish... that's preferred.

Only resting questions is the door.
Can it be closed like before and as a second option with only one or two small windows? what do you think about the door appearance?

Thanks again for the feedback.

Chimney! I was thinking of adding one with some smoke on my last submission

Blue windows no problem, the door!! are you saying you want it closed and less windows in it?? The door is supposed to be open but when the image is set to small you can't tell so yes would look better closed.

No problem, will do it later as there is a Bond movie on Tv..can't miss that (tho I have seen it before)

Yes, I'm sure Bond would want a fireplace inside if he happened upon the cabin with a lovely female mtn 'guide.'

As for 'blue' = the same you started with.

Yes, door closed with small windows. Maybe 4? Like a square divided in 4.... Or one of small size... Something a park ranger would have... Or just a door with the impression of a sign" park hq" on the door... I'm a little lost as to the exact image...

Chat Monday.
