Hello, (Admin code added by Palmer - 9908424)
We are in need of a redesign of our http://www.eaglewheels.com website. Winner takes home $170.
This site is soley used to sell custom alloy wheels (a majority are American Eagle Wheels - which are mostly made in here in the USA).
The logo I would like to keep is from the logo contest we had on the logo forum.
It is located at:
http://www.eaglewheels.com/images/4.gif
This can be resized if need be.
Color scheme:
I would like to stay with a blue base with maybe some patriotic colors (red/white/blue)
Navigation:
We need to have the following catagories for navigation:
HOME
RWD WHEELS
FWD WHEELS
2-PIECE WHEELS
CLASSIC WHEELS
REPLICA WHEELS
BOSS WHEELS
SPECIALS
SHIPPING
WARRANTY
CONTACT US
CUSTOMER RIDES
We need to use frames on this so I can easily change which wheel appears in our right bottom frame.
I am sure I forgot something, but my employees and I will try to check in and add comments or answer questions as we go.
thanks,
Jeff

May we have a .png, .psd or a file with a transparent background?
I personally have some ideas for this template, need a logo that can be worked with a bit (not changed, simply worked within a design concept).
Thanks.

The car took me a while to draw, so hopefully you like it. This is designed for frames and kept clean.

Looking good on both entries, I will have my rep that handles the sales on the site to put in his 2 cents also today or tommorow.
Couple quick questions:
1) Do the links on the left highlight or change on mouse rollovers?
2) Are the examples frames compliant so I can keep the top and left portion of the page while changing the body on the right/bottom?
Thanks,
JEff

1.My template does change on rollover...the home link represents what the rollover will look like.
2.That shouldn't be a problem.

Hey Jeff-
I have a few questions.
Are frames a must? I have a ton of design idea's but doing it in frames just wouldn't be something I would want to do to a design. You mention wanting the top part to stay the same, as well as the left part....this could be achieved using includes with PHP or ASP...setting up a header, panel, content sort of thing so the header and navigation areas are not reloading with each click.
I am just curious how tied down to using the frame setup you are, because I have some idea's brewing...but don't want to put a lot of time into something if you are set in stone on this setup.
Thanks,
Sean

I had always used frames because I have code written in SAS that generates my html code for each wheel which is displayed as a page in the frame to the right. I am not totally familiar with how I could maintain this configuration with ASP and have not worked with PHP.

Here is my entry.
I chose to stay away from the colors you requested, because I wasn't getting that kind of vibe from your product. Wheels to me are sleek, and sleek means dark and slick....
In saying that, check out the following:
You can view a full graphical representation of what the site would look like if you click the HTML link on this page at the bottom (in the description).

Xterior - it is a cool looking site, but the car with the wheel on it is not an Eagle wheel, that would cause some pretty harsh confusion with people looking at the site.
The design is pretty good, but could it be a little more of the blue color, American Eagle has spent millions on advertising with the blue color so I wanted to try and kinda ride on their marketing.

Oh well, had the idea so I figured I would go with it before I lost it.
Thanks,

What cars DO have your wheels?
Since i know nothing about your company or product, I really can't try to guess which cars do or don't have a set of your wheels on them.
Have any pictures or can point the designers in the right direction?

Look at the customer rides section, these have our wheels on them. Or go to www.aewheel.com there are examples there.

No i mean cars with your wheels, not just the wheels alone...I knew where those were, I used em in my design.
Sorry for the confusion.
