The company name is New York Party Shuttle Tours. The website is www.newyorkpartyshuttle.com. We have been in business for 2 years. Our current logo is a black and white illustration, but we're looking for entirely new branding and logo in color. Please check out our current logo in the top right-hand corner of the site.
Our company performs serious historical tours of New York City in a shuttle bus rather than in a motor coach bus. Thus, the shuttle bus is the key to the business and possibly the logo (but not required). Although we take our tours serious, the logo is free to connote fun (like it currently does) or take on a more professional look and feel - entirely up to you.
Our goal here is to leave this up to your creativity rather than try to drive you in a certain direction.
Our competitors are Grayline double decker tours and City Sights double decker tours. Our buses are NOT double-deckers. They are smaller group shuttle buses that you might find at an airport.
MANDATORIES:
Our company colors are navy blue and white. We are open to adding a 3rd and possibly a 4th color, but Navy blue is mandatory.
Will need either original photoshop or Quark files as part of the deal so we can accurately make business cards and shirts from the original file.
Will pay promptly to the winner on October 2nd!

Relevant, thanks for your submission, however the bald eagle is not working for me. If we're going to add anything, I would think it should be a picture of a SHUTTLE BUS.

Ratbaggy, I appreciate the entry and I do like the use of colors, but I think it's just a little too much on the basic side of things. The logo should communicate something, maybe the city of New York or the Shuttle. The swooshes with no picture of the shuttle almost mean nothing. I like some of these submissions, particularly the apple. Don't much care for the eagle. John's right, we'd like to see what you guys can do with the shuttle bus. I have a color version of it in an .ai file that I can send you by email. Just email me your address to cts61@yahoo.com.
Also, when you are working with text, we'd like to de-emphasize the word "Party" and emphasize the word "Tours."

Bill, yours is easily my favorite. I like the color, the movement, the emphasis on Tours, and the statue turned to face the text. Would like to see it without the fireworks, maybe add a bit of flame to the torch (I know the perspective's wrong).
Aaron, I like a lot of the elements of your design, but I think it works best on a small scale and don't know if it would look good on the side of a bus (we didn't specify that, but we are looking for something that will work both a letterhead and signage.
Gig and Design General, thanks for your submissions. They're too generic for my taste.
Relevant, I like what you've tried to do with all the elements, especially incorporating the bus silhouette, but it doesn't quite come together for me. My eye doesn't know where to focus. It's unclear what the silhouette is at first, the buildings are too bulky and generic and the "New Yorker" magazine font is overexposed in NYC.
Likewise, Fabian, the apple logo is everywhere in NYC (including on a zillion Macs and iPods), and we're looking for something more distinctive.
