Due Nov 1st - New Logo - Wulff Financial - $150
Admin code added by Abby - (6H027098BV790341W)
Hi everyone! I am in the financial services business and need a nice logo for my company. The name of the company is Wulff Financial and I would like to use a wolf head as part of the logo. I am pretty open to colors, though I tend to prefer blues and greens. The deadline for this project is November 1st.
Thanks,
Susannah

I'm adding responses to questionnaire - hope it helps!
Project Summary:
What text should be included in the main part of the logo? Wulff Financial
What type of product or service do you offer? financial services, insurance, estate planning, debt and financial consulting
How long have you been in business? Brand new
What do you hope to accomplish with your new identity? I want to communicate total professionalism with a strong, aggressive edge.
What are your long term goals? Financial independence, Organizational Growth, Career and life success
Audience Profile:
Please describe your existing audience - mostly those looking for insurance
Who would you like to add to your audience? People needing investment strategies, debt counseling, a better grasp on their financial future
Perception/Tone/Guidelines:
What type of logo would you like? Something strong, professional, modern
Do you have any colors in mind for your logo? (if so, why?)not really - I tend to like greens and blues, but I want something that conveys strength
Do you have any specific images or icons in mind that you would definitely like to see incorporated into your logo? A wolf head or wolf as part of the logo
Communication Strategy:
What attributes would you like your logo to reflect about your business? Strength, stability and piece of mind
What is your tagline or slogan? still working on that! Probably something like I mentioned above.
What is the overall message you are trying to convey to your target audience? You have to plan now for tomorrow.
Where will your new logo be used? business cards, letterhead, signage, advertising
Competitive Positioning:
Who are your competitors and what do you think about their logos? Mainly financial planners, but also insurance companies that offer financial consulting. Most of the logos tend to be very professional if with a large company. Many independents don't have logos.
List competitive URLs if possible
What sets you apart from your competitors? Younger, fresher, more creative
Targeted Message:
State a single-minded word or phrase that will appropriately describe your company: Strategic planning for a strong future

Thanks for your entry djaka. The symbol is too overpowering for me. I prefer it be more subtle. I like how you worked the wolf head in, but the symbol you attached it to is too much for me.
Thanks!

Some terrific work starting here...
nfrack - This is very good. It portrays the strength I was looking for. I really, really like the darker green. It's stronger and less "girly". Let's work on the wolf. He's a little scary for me. I don't want clients to think I'm going to eat them up. Try one that portrays "peace" or "protection".
Titania - this symbol is too overpowering. I want the main emphasis on the name, with the symbol worked in more subtlety. I do like the abstract approach, it make the wolf less "fierce".
Relevant - this one really grabbed me. The font is pretty much dead on what I was looking for. Again, the use of the darker green is really appealing to me. On the symbol, I'd like it smaller and I'd like to try some different placements. I didn't really consider such a real looking wolf when I was imagining this, but I actually like it here.
Thanks to all of you for these entries. You've done some great work.

Relevant - forgot to mention that the tag lines are magnificant. Couldn't have said it better myself!

RedEye - I like the partial enclosure you've added to the symbol - and I do like it smaller, as you've done in your most recent submissions. Very nice.
Titania - I like your newer version better. Can I see it with the wolf to the left side of "Wulff" and finanical underneath? I'd like the top line in black, bottom in dark green.
Thanks,
Susannah

Thanks Titania - can we change the font somewhat? I'd like something less "thick" - maybe making it taller would work. Also, I'd like to see this with the wolf in two colors, Wulff in black and Financial in green on one line with a tag line in black underneath. Thanks- I'll try not to ask for much more!

Susannah,
Here is a version with my wolf facing front. I prefer the side view mainly because it gives him / her a more regal look whereas a front view takes on a more intimidating image.
Let me know if you want to see anything else.

RedEye - I agree. Go back to design as in 1.2 and replace "strong" with "successful" please.
Thanks - Susannah

hi! just wanted to say that the tagline is only for you to see how it would look like, i'll try to come up with something better in case you don't like it.
hope this suits you!

We are getting close, but I'm not seeing exactly what I'm looking for in the wolf. I'm posting a couple of photos that might help. These capture the attentive, watchful, protective look I'm thinking of.

Titania: nice update on font. The tag does need more work.

I needed an extra day to think on it. I've chosen the last design by RedEye. Thanks everyone for your efforts!
