Hello everyone!

I have just found this site and let me just say WOW! You guys have some mad skills. I am totally dumbfounded. I know you guys will be able to help me out.

I am looking for a logo design for what is going to be our youth ministry's new name. I will mainly use this on t-shirts and hats (maybe) and maybe some stationary. so it need to be very kind on the colors due to screen printing. The name of the ministry is going to be "focus"

Here are some ways that I think it might look good:

focus
student ministries

focus
pellville baptist youth

focus
pellville student ministries

I guess the only "real" theme that comes to mind is the word focus out of focus.

BUT the guy i talked to at the screen printing said that it wouldn't look exactly like that on the shirt. I guess he knows what he is talking about.

I am pretty open to your ideas....so anyone that would like to help....I appreciate it.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. We might be able to pay a little bit for this design. That has not been decided just yet. The prize would be around $30 or $50.

The color scheme that I was thinking of was blue and yellow........but I would be open.

Just a hint. But if you're thinking offering a prize between $30-$50, go ahead and name a price, and ask Palmer to move this to the Logo forum. Much more traffic there and more like to get responses.

Thank you so much for replying back. I know everybody is busy and that charity cases don't get a lot of attention.

I really like the fonts that you used. It looks good. I like the first one better than the other two.

Do you have any other ideas for the cross in the picture? When you think of a youth group at a church being called focus, what do you invision?

Do you think that you can make the colors red and black...with focus being read and student ministries being in black????? as well as the other picture/or cross?

Thanks Palmer.....they are great. i will need to show them to some of my kids to see what they think. I will be leaving saturday for a week long mission trip....so it might be a little bit.

let me ask a pretty dumb question. If i get this logo, then my color of t'shirts is pretty much limited to white t'shirts right. I mean what if I want to go dark blue. This logo won't match? Is this a problem i only seem to have or is it common? What is the answer to this????? (seriously i am pretty dumb about this)

Yes, I would imagine you're going to need the colors of the T-shirts to be a light color. I don't think thet necessarily have to be white but that would probably be the most cost-effective color anyway.

If you wanted the logo in any other colors, that's as easy as a few clicks so don't hesitate to ask. I'm not that good at color combinations so I'll leave it up to you to let me know which ones.

Hey everyone,

Sorry it has been so long, I just got back from 2 mission trips.

I just thought I would bring this back to the top to see if anybody has any other ideas. Palmer's logo is great, but was just curious if anybody else might have some ideas....

THANKS ondarox.....I love that design. I do like the square idea. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what kind of graphic would be right. I was trying to think of something that would get accross the idea of "focus" Maybe some kind of person that is abstract....but I don't know. I will probably need this logo by the end of the month for sure....I will talk to my student leaders about this tomorrow.

Hello Guys,

Well, I finally talked to the youth last night. They loved the idea of focus as our group name. Now comes the refining part on the logo. The youth really like the logo Palmer did. They like the idea of a graphic in there.

Palmer, can you do some color swaps for me on your second logo (the one with the magnifying glass as the o).....can you do one with swapping the black and red around, one with white thrown in there and maybe one like it is with a white highlight behind it. Let me explain the reason behind.....they like that and they like the colors.......i was just trying to think ahead to the shirt colors that we will have to use....and i was thinking that we would have enough different variations of that design in those colors to be able to use on white, red, or black shirts.........but if you have other color ideas or ways to work around this i am all game.....

If anyone else has any ideas, please help.

I think we want to stick with the original font and design.........can you try putting some kind of oval or something behind it that is white, that way if we decide to use it on a black or red shirt, it will show up, and we can use the original for white shirts.........thanks

I have one last question for ya.......would you be interested in designing the back of a shirt for me...something pretty simple? Not for sure what will be on the back. I have a couple of ideas.

I was hoping you would say yes, and I would be able to pay you a little bit (prolly $35) for doing both. Will this be a possibility?

I had a couple of ideas for the shirt:

1) Maybe a man hold up his hands towards the sky...with the words:
Are you focused?

2) Maybe that man on his knees with his hands lifted up with the words:
Are you focused?

3)OR, if you have another idea that goes along with the same idea....

(the man should not be a detailed man...maybe just completely black with no features....)

there would only need to be 2 - 3 colors......of course black and red will prolly be the best........but....I am open.

Also, on the front crest, I want to use the logo with the words: Pellville Baptist Church right underneath student ministries.

I do like the two logos, the one with the oval, and the one without. Hopefully, I can start using them in my MS Word documents soon and on a Business card.........thank you so much.

Palmer,

Great work....just a few things...and then we should be done. Can you Change the words on the shirt to say "Where's your focus?" And then make the color of the font to be the same red that is found on the logo.

One variation to see what it looks like....can you put a box around it. Or something else....just don't know if it will look right on back of T'shirt.......

Maybe you can do what I have seen alot of others do by putting what it will look like on a shirt. The front and back....I would like to see both variations.

The last logo that you did is going to be the logo for good....including the oval. Can you make the red in Pellville Baptist Church the same red as the rest? Or is it, and it is just lighter???

It's the same red, the other red has a black outline which makes it look darker. I'll post the update to the t-shirt soon.
